Our theme for February is...
All About the Sentiments!
With the start of a new year we all have stamps from last year we haven't used yet and some new ones too!
So lets dig out those sentiments, get inspired, & use them.
an assortment of sentiments to share with you today.
Along with a few of my favorite things like
pattern paper, heat embossing, and ribbon.
Here's what I came up with...
It's a new year with lots of changes and it's only February!
Recently one of my co-workers resigned to pursue her dream job at the botanical gardens. We couldn't be happier for her, but will miss her! So I found it only fitting for us to wish her good luck with a "plant" card using this amazing stamp that's "new to me."
To keep things "earthy" I cut out green and white pieces of cardstock using these fun rectangle & scallop dies with my Big Shot die cutting machine. I don't usually die cut before I stamp, but it helped to center the plant stamp.
Next using my MISTI stamping tool, I stamped the plant image with Versafine Clair-Nocturne black ink, removed from the MISTI, sprinkled with clear embossing powder, and heat set. And proceeded to color with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.
I really wanted the sentiment to pop, so I placed the plant image in my MISTI again, stamped the sentiment with Versamark clear ink, sprinkled with white embossing powder, and heat set. And adhered to green cardstock and adhered to card base. Added a green satin ribbon. And on the inside we all added "just a note" to wish her well on her new adventure. I think she liked it! What do you think?

Card #2: Happy Birthday Happy Birthday
This month a special lady is having a birthday and she loves roses and pink. And here is another beautiful stamp I have yet to use, until now. I know... I don't know what I've been waiting for. Keeping things simple, I decided to use this new gorgeous paper pack from Unity and it's great for many occasions, not just Valentines.
Trimmed to size and adhered to another pretty rose pattern paper from the same paper pack. Then adhered to a white card base. Added adhesive pink pearls and this tea rose crinkle ribbon to finish this beauty and get her in the mail.
Here is the card process:
Unity Products: My Condolences (rose) stamp set; Heart of Autumn (front sentiments); Everything Wonderful (inside sentiment) and Enveloped in Love paper pack

Card #3: So Sorry
Sympathy cards are hard anytime of year and I've already needed four and it's only February. These are nice to have on hand when this unfortunate occasion arises and pretty simple to make. I made these gorgeous cards for my Aunt and two cousins who recently lost their husband/father. He was the last of my Uncles to pass away and a great man. He was a champion bowler and an outdoor enthusiast who loved to hunt and fish all over Michigan. His absence is felt across the miles.
I kept it simple and used pattern watercolor paper as my backgrounds, but you can certainly create your own. And using my MISTI stamping tool I stamped the butterflies with clear ink on pattern paper, sprinkled with silver embossing powder, and heat set to get this wonderful metallic image. Then stamped this heartfelt sentiment in distress oxide ink colors to coordinate with the backgrounds.
Next I adhered the panels to black cardstock and adhered to a white card bases. And these are ready to mail out our condolences.
Here is the card process:
Unity Products: It’s Been Too Long (butterfly) stamp set and My Condolences (sentiment) stamp set
MISTI stamping tool; Versamark clear ink; Ranger Ink Silver embossing powder; Marvy Uchida heat embossing tool; Ranger Ink Distress Oxide Inks: chipped sapphire and wilted violet; My Favorite Things watercolor pattern paper; American Crafts Black cardstock; Papertrey Ink white 110lb cardstock base; Double sided tear tape (scor-tape) at Scrapbookpal.
Here's another peak at all of them...
I hope we've inspired you to mix & match
your stamps & create some amazing
heartfelt cards with your sentiments.
The possibilities are endless!
