Hi everybody! This week I'm still working on a few Valentine cards and today I'm sharing a pretty easy, but colorful card with some of my favorite CAS-ual Fridays Stamps. They have this darling ballerina stamp that is so versatile for so many occasions and the matching die is a card makers dream. Also, this amazing swoosh stamp I used in the background for a monochromatic look and a super fun banner stamp with a matching die too!

For today's project I started with an A2 red cardstock base. Cut out a piece of pink cardstock 1/4" smaller than my card base with this darling scallop stitched rectangle die and adhered to the card base. Then I picked a few distress inks in the pink and red family and stamped the swoosh on white textured cardstock.
I practiced on a piece of white scratch paper first until I got the color combo I wanted for the swoosh. Some are solid first generation stamped colors and others are 2nd generation stamped colors. Which means I stamped off the first impression of ink off onto my scratch paper, then without cleaning my stamp, I just stamped the swoosh a 2nd time to get a lighter version. Hence, the name 2nd generation.

Next using my MISTI stamp tool, I stamped the ballerina on white cardstock once or twice to get a good solid impression. Then colored her flowers in with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and cut her out with the matching die and set a side for a moment.
Using my MISTI stamping tool, I stamped the banner on white cardstock, then lined up the sentiment perfectly inside the banner, and cut out with the matching die. Adhered the banner to the card panel with foam tape. Then adhered the ballerina on top of the banner with foam tape. And added a few adhesive rhinestones for some sparkle to complete this darling card that is perfect for Valentines Day or any time of the year you'd like to share some love. And flat enough to mail!
