Hi everybody! I’m up on the CardMaker Blog today sharing my last post for the Blog Team and Celebrating my 20th Wedding Anniversary today too! I wanted to go out with a bang and this one is jam packed with lots of pictures, tips, party, and décor ideas to spruce up your celebrations. And as you can see above, I made my husband an extra special 20th Anniversary card, shown above, to match our decor theme too! I made a card base from 6x10” dark blue cardstock. Scored each side at 2 ½” so it would fold into the center of the card. Cut two strips of silver foiled cardstock and placed them in an embossing folder for some extra special texture and adhered to card base.
This design is called a Gate Fold card, where it opens from the center like a gate. Details for foiled circles are up on the Cardmaker Blog. I adhered just half of the “20 YEARS” layered foil circle to the side of the card, so it can open. And the inside I kept it simple. I stamped on a light blue cardstock and heat embossed a sentiment on light blue cardstock and adhered to the card base.
It wouldn’t be one of my cards if it didn’t have some sparkle, but it is for my husband. So, I kept it simple. As you can see above, I had clear adhesive stars, but I wanted them to pop. So, I colored them with Copic alcohol markers, let dry for a minute, and adhered some to the front of the card and a few more to the inside too! I think he'll like this one, don't you?
