TUTORIAL: I started with an A2 powder blue 110lb cardstock base and stamped light gray snowflakes around the edges for a little more details. I had this amazing powder blue patterned paper with gold flecks from BoBunny Vintage Double Dot that I cut out with a stitched rectangle die set from Sponsor Gina Marie Designs and my Big Shot die cutting machine. And adhered this panel to a piece of black cardstock to frame it and adhered to card base.

TUTORIAL Con't: I used my MISTI stamping tool to stamp this amazing slimline Poinsettia stamp by Sponsor Unity Stamp Co. with a blue dye ink and did some light water coloring. ​Using my Big Shot and a circle die cutting set from Sponsor Gina Marie Designs, I cut out the image and a black cardstock border in the next size larger and adhered them together. Then trimmed a bit off the left side. And adhered to the card. Adhered a piece of sparkly silver snowflake ribbon (from Michaels) to the card, added some smoky blue adhesive pearls, and a "Merry Christmas" sentiment ribbon. And I to make it sparkle even more I added a touch of clear sparkle pen by Spectrum Noir brushed onto the poinsettia. It's hard to photograph, but you can kind of see the sparkle below in this close up.

Tutorial: I started with an 4.25x5.5" A2 cardbase in kraft cardstock (not shown) by Papertrey Ink and cut a brown plaid patterned paper the same size and adhered to card base. I try every month to use up some scraps, so I used a piece of orange gingham patterned paper and adhered to the center of our card. Using my MISTI stamping tool, I stamped this lovely fall coffee cup stamp on white cardstock, with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, because it’s an alcohol friendly ink. And colored the image with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, cut it out, and adhered to the card. Next I stamped the sentiment with Versamark clear ink on AC brown cardstock, sprinkled with Ranger gold embossing powder, and heat set. Using a Big Shot Machine, I cut out the sentiment with a fishtail/banner die, but I did not adhere it just yet. I dug in my scrap pile and found a couple more coordinating paper prints and tore the bottoms off and layered them, like shown, and adhered to the back of the sentiment banner. Then I adhered the whole sentiment banner to the card. And added Tim Holtz twine and MME enamel dots to complete this fall beauty celebrating friendship. Tutorial: I started with a 4.25x9.5" slimline card base in blue cardstock by Papertrey Ink. It’s my favorite for card bases because it’s 100-110lb quality card stock. Then I cut a piece of spiderweb patterned paper to 4x6” and adhered to the card. Using my MISTI stamping tool I lined up a few of my favorite spooky stamp characters, inked with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock. And colored with the Spectrum Noir alcohol markers shown. Trimmed to fit and then adhered the image to the card. Stamped sentiment with Distress Oxide Ink-Wilted Violet on white cardstock, trimmed, and adhered to black cardstock. Tutorial: I used Angie Blom "Better in Boots" digital stamp set to create this A2 card. Colored the image with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers; used a Big Shot machine to cut out image with a stitched rectangle die; adhered to a black piece of cardstock; cut two pink Authentique pattern papers and adhered to card base, which is white 110lb Papertrey Ink cardstock; I didn't measure correctly when I cut the pretty papers and had a gap in the middle, so I filled it with a strip of hot pink lace ribbon and tied a bow; then adhered image to card; added adhesive blue glitter dots to complete.

Tutorial: I used Polka Dot Orchard ``Remember Me" digital stamp set (or Unity Stamps has in red rubber set too) to create this 5.5x5.5" squared card. Colored the image with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers; used Distress Ink-Vintage Photo around the edges of the lady and the sentiment using a Picket Fence Blending Brush; used a Big Shot machine to cut out image with a stitched rectangle die; adhered to a beige piece of cardstock; adhered a piece of My Minds Eye patterned paper to a 110lb turquoise cardstock by Papertrey Ink; adhered image to card base. Cut out sentiment, adhered to beige cardstock, and adhered to card. Added dark adhesive G45 gems to finish this beauty.

Tutorial: I used Angie Blom "Road Trip, Girl" digital stamp set to create this A2 card. Colored the image with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers; used a Big Shot machine to cut out image with a stitched rectangle die; adhered to a black piece of cardstock; cut two My Minds Eye travel pattern papers and adhered to 110lb white card base; then adhered image panel onto card at an angle; adhered blue glitter dots to the corners and a white glitter dot to the red location arrow on the left of the suitcase to complete.

Tutorial: I used Polka Dot Orchard "Rebuild Yourself" digital stamp set to create this A2 card (4.25x5.5"). Colored the image with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers; used Distress Inks-Faded Jeans and Peeled Paint for the top and bottom around image, and on the sentiment using a Picket Fence Blending Brush; used a Big Shot machine to cut out image with a stitched rectangle die; adhered image to a red piece of cardstock; adhered the whole image to a piece of striped patterned and adhered to a MME dark brown woodgrain patterned paper; then adhered whole image piece to 110lb card base by Papertrey Ink. Cut out sentiment, adhered to beige cardstock, and adhered to card. Added a piece of natural twine to the top of the sentiment and adhered with Tombow Multi liquid glue (the green one).

Tutorial: I started with an 8.5x11” piece of kraft cardstock, cut in half, which makes two A2 cards. I took one half and folded to make an A2 card base. I started by stamping and heat embossing just the kraft card base, but thought it was too dark for this theme and I wanted to keep it soft and light. So I’ll save that piece for another day. I took the other A2 kraft half I already cut and that will be our card base. I cut and trimmed a light blue piece of cardstock ¼” smaller than our card base. Tutorial: I started with an 8.5x11” piece of turquoise cardstock, cut in half, which makes two A2 cards. I took one half and folded to make an A2 card base. Because using color on Sympathy cards is ok...really! I personally don’t make them bright, but some color is ok. It’s the thought that counts! Next I cut a piece of plaid patterned paper 3x5.5” and using a die cutting machine, and an edge die, I cut the right side and adhered to the card base. Using my original MISTI, white cardstock, and Memento tuxedo black ink, an alcohol marker friendly ink/cardstock, I stamped this gorgeous floral stamp twice to get a good impression. Tutorial: I started with an 8.5” x 11” red 110lb cardstock, folded in half, for the card base. I’ve been making a lot of “not quite” square cards lately, but larger than the usual A2. So I leave them folded until I have everything else adhered in place, then I trim it down. So, this base will be 5.5” wide. Next I chose two 6x6 pattern papers from the same pad, that I thought resembled a vintage flag, cut them on the diagonal, and trimmed off ¼” from the inside angles to fit, and adhered to the card base. Cut a piece of blue ric rac ribbon and adhered on an angle across the card using liquid glue. Click or hover on pictures below for more directions...

Tutorial: I started with 8.5” x 11” white 110lb cardstock, folded in half, and cut in half, so the top folds down and opens from the bottom, but still an A2 size card base. And set aside for a bit. Using a MISTI stamping tool, I lined up the feather and sentiment on a piece of white watercolor cardstock. And inked them up with Gina K amalgam black ink, because remember it’s a friendly ink with any coloring medium. Then took the stamp out of the MISTI and put it on an acrylic block, inked it up again, and stamped the feather two more times. Tutorial: I started with 8.5” x 11” light gray 110lb cardstock I had leftover that was cut as an A2 size card base. I love notebook paper, so I cut this light blue piece the same size as the card base, inked the edges with distress oxide ink in faded jeans and blended a bit more around the edges with a blending brush and adhered to the card base. And set aside for a bit. Using a MISTI stamping tool, I lined up the jar and sentiment on a piece of white alcohol marker friendly cardstock. Tutorial: I started with an 8.5x11” piece of kraft cardstock, folded in half (not seen in photo). Adhered a piece of 6x6 vintage looking patterned paper to card base. I cut a teal piece of patterned paper from the same paper pack about 3x6” and adhered to the card. Next I layered and re-sized these digital stamp images from two coffee sets, printed on X-Press It white cardstock using an HP Deskjet printer. Colored the images with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, mostly browns, grays, and a pop of teal. ​Using a die cutting machine and a postage die to cut out the image. Then blended around the edges with distress oxide ink with a blending brush. And adhered to a dark piece of wood patterned paper and adhered to the card. Trimmed down the card to about 5x6” and added a few metallic gem pearls. And added a touch of sparkle to the silver metal pieces on the “old timey” coffee bean grinder with a clear sparkle pen to complete this beauty.

​Tutorial: ​I started with a 6x6” plaid patterned paper, trimmed down to about 5x6” and adhered to a kraft card base (not shown). Cut a maroon piece of patterned paper 4x6” and adhere to the card. And cut a piece of rusty brown card stock 2x6” and punched out both long sides with a notebook border punch, cut in half, and adhered to the maroon card panel. Using a MISTI stamping tool I stamped Wakely girl onto white cardstock (alcohol marker friendly) with Versafine Sepia ink and let it dry overnight, but you could heat set it or emboss it too. It’s not usually an alcohol friendly ink, but I find if you let it “cure” overnight or for a few days, it’s been ok to color with and doesn’t bleed or smear. But my Versafine black has smeared. So be careful. Normally I use Gina K Designs Amalgam ink or Catherine Poolers midnight black for any kind of coloring, but I didn’t have those in brown. Use what you’ve got, right? And next I masked the girl using the back paper cover to her stamp and taped it down with purple tape, while using Wakely again, inked up just the text words with Sepia ink, and stamped a few more times down the left side. Using a die cutting machine and a stitched die to cut out the image. ​These are the Spectrum Noir marker colors I used to color Wakely girl. Then using a blending brush and Distress Oxide Ink-Walnut Stain to blend some ink around Wakely. And using the same ink pad to directly apply ink around the edges. And adhere Wakely to a piece of dark brown cardstock, trim to fit between the notebook border punches. ​ Using the MISTI stamping tool again, stamped the sentiment from the same kit, with Walnut Stain ink on white cardstock. Cut out with a stitched die. And inked around the edges and blended around the words. Adhered just the right side and attached to the card. Add natural twine, slip under the sentiment, and tie in a bow to complete this stylish beauty.

Tutorial: I started with a white piece of 110 cardstock folded in half as our card base (not shown). Cut two pieces of coordinating Unity patterned paper 2x6” and adhered to each end. Cut a piece of blue cardstock 2x6” and cut out with the ribbon border punch. Laced a piece of pink satin ribbon through the blue cardstock, cut the ends and adhered on the back and attached to the card, as shown. Tutorial: I started with an 8.5" x 11" piece of yellow 110lb cardstock, cut the length and width to the dimensions shown in the diagram below. Click or hover over pictures below for more step by step instructions.

Next lets add some sparkle. And Unity has this Folkart Extreme Glitter acrylic paint that is so shimmery and awesome! It comes out white, like glue, but dries clear and sparkly, with teeny tiny specs of colors. It's really pretty. I just squeeze a drop onto scrap paper and apply with a Q-tip to both sides of the bloom image. You can brush it on with a paint brush, but you'll need to wash it in water right away or it won't come off and you've ruined your brush. Plus you might see the brush strokes too, which is fine if you're going for that look. But a Q-tip works great ya'll. A little goes a long way, so nice and thin layers is enough. Here is a close up of what I've done so far on the front. And I also went around the edges of the bloom on both sides with a Spectrum Noir marker IG1 (a very light grey) to highlight the bloom. I cut and trimmed a Unity patterned paper in woodgrain and adhered to the card base. And punched out a pumpkin border from an orange scrap and adhered to the bottom. Here is a close up of the Angiegirl I colored with Spectrum Noir markers listed below. And adhered her to the card panel and tucked her just behind the pumpkin border. And added a touch of zig glue to the pumpkin border to adhere the tops to the card panel.

I really tried NOT to color today...but this image just screamed for some color! Using a MISTI stamping tool, I had already stamped the imagine and sentiment on regular white cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black ink (water color friendly ink), but forgot to use watercolor cardstock for todays project. So we're just going for it. You can make it work, if you don't use much water. I used Distress Oxide inks in the colors shown (plus Squeezed Lemonade Reg. Distress Ink and their listed below), with a quick and light watercoloring technique, kind of like flicking, so I wouldn't warp my cardstock. I patted dry with a paper towel and dried between coloring with a heat tool, so I could layer on more color for depth and dimension. The cardstock buckled up a little bit and I just put a big heavy book on it for a couple hours to flatten it out. An iron on a low setting would work too.

Then did a bit more ink smooshing and used the ink splat stamp again, and ink splatters in picked raspberry and wilted violet around the edges of the image, which seems to be a favorite. I like the effect. Once dry, used a corner rounder punch to cut the corners. And went around the edges of the image with picked raspberry ink. Added a bit of red sparkle glitter pen to all the hearts and clear glitter pen to the circles for a bit of bling! Adhered the image to the front of our Screen card. And added a few light pink glitter enamel adhesive dots for more sparkle. Click the pictures below for more step by step directions for the inside of the Screen card.

For the "Angiegirl" in the center of our Screen card, using a MISTI stamping tool, I stamped her on white cardstock, in Versafine Onyx black ink (a watercolor friendly ink). And water colored her the same way I colored the flowers on the front of the card. But I used a few more colors on our lovely girl. She reminds me of my daughter, so I colored her that way. Using Distress Oxide Inks-Hair: Scattered Straw, Rusty Hinge and Walnut Stain; Hoodie: Wilted Violet; Skin: Dried Marigold watered down, and a touch of Picked Raspberry for her lips; and the Butterfly: Regular Distress ink in Squeezed Lemonade and Dried Marigold in Oxide. And colored around the entire Angiegirl with a Spectrum Noir Marker in a light gray #GG1 to highlight her and give her some depth.
