I love creating one of a kind backgrounds and this one definitely reminded me of a spooky night with the fog creeping in. I recommend using a watercolor paper when using watercolor inks, markers, crayons, pencils, or blending with water. Because it's absorbent, it won't buckle, or pill when you are blending or adding more water...
Happy (almost) Halloween! Do you make Halloween cards? I do sometimes, as it's one of my favorite holidays and I have TONS of Halloween stamps. But I have LOTS of birthdays between September and April that I make birthday cards for. So I don't usually have time to make any, but I did squeeze in this lovely spooky card.

Summer is here and it’s time for Stuart and Scooter to go on an adventure. They remind us to never stop playing, smiling, and dreaming. And this Eat Cake Graphics stamp is versatile for so many occasions. I love this postage stamp embossed paper and how it pops against the red card base. I think it is from a Teresa Collins travel pad, I'll try and find it and let you know. Sorry, I think I'll remember and I don't. I need to be better about writing things down when I'm creating. I love the 6x6 pads for card making, their just the right size and I seem to collect a lot of them. Anyways, this paper is perfect for documenting all their travels. Can you see the sheen? I stamped the image of Stuart and Scooter with Versafine onyx black ink and colored it with Copic markers, Ranger Tim Holtz mini brown ink and a SU blender pen, and a little bling here and there with spica glitter pens to make it sparkle, of course. Can you see the bling on the goggles, the arrow, and the wheels? I accented the die cut sentiment (from the same pad) and the stamp image with BoBunny blue dot pattern paper for background matting, punched them out, and popped them up with 3D foam adhesive dots. Attached a border strip that resembled airmail postage. And added some Authentique sticker words, star adhesive gems, and red/white bakers twine to make it complete. Where will your next adventure take you? Eat Cake Graphics stamps used: 1074-G, Stuart and puppy Scooter fly I'm a mom of one daughter and three sons and I get tickled pink when I get to make cards for girls. This adorable card is a throwback to Stampin' Up and I dug out some retired stamps that are still my favorites. For this adorable card I used itty bitty background stamps with versamark clear ink to create a unique soft background. Tied ribbon around a strip of polka dot pattern paper and adhered to card panel. Used the crib notes stamp set for the pig and sentiment, which I stamped with versafine onyx black, colored in with SU watercolor markers, and added an adorable tiny button for the nose. I recommend glue dots for adhering buttons or you can use a button brad. Punch out the pig and matching pink circle and adhered to pink panel. Take the whole pink panel and adhere to teal card base and add some random stickles diamond glitter glue to some polka dots for sparkle. See what you can do with buttons and get those stamps out and play!

Black, White, and one other color of your choice and that's it, just three colors. And yes, black and white count as colors. Create 1 or 2 projects that are cards, layouts, home decor, or anything that is homemade by you... I’ve loved frogs for as long as I can remember and still do. So, when I saw this stamp from Eat Cake Graphics, I just knew I wanted to create something with froggie for Easter.
I stamped him three times and put him in motion like he’s leaping for joy...it's Spring! I stamped him on Bo Bunny double dot green dot paper and layered that over the spring flowers pattern paper from Pebbles-garden party collection. I love pink and green together, it’s very Springy. And I've been dying to use that pink rose ribbon from American Crafts forever. Then stamped the sentiment with my favorite ink: Versafine Onyx Black. And added googly eyes for a touch of whimsy. They're not just for Halloween, ya know? As my kids would say. I hope you play around with colors, spring patterns, and a touch of whimsy. Be sure to check out these adorable stamps from the link below. And I hope you get out and enjoy this gorgeous Spring weather and have wonderful Easter. ~Kim Eat Cake Graphics Stamps: 5032-E, Go froggie go! 8065-F, Hippity hoppity Easter (text) Napkin cards are still all the rage and there are so many tutorials and videos using all kinds of products.
