Anyhoo...In the mean time I found an alternative. I had a stack of metallic foiled cardstock in my stash of paper and wondered if you could heat emboss on it. Well, you can, BUT...do it quickly or it will burn or warp your paper. As I had some trial and errors before getting a few perfect ones.
I started with an A2 size card base, any color will do, as you won't see it on the front, but keep it light, so you can stamp or write on the inside.
Next I cut an A2 size (4.25"x5.5") piece of gold foil cardstock and adhered to card base. And cut a piece of green foil cardstock 1/4" smaller on all sides.
Last week I shared the Sugar Plum Fairy card. And this week I'm sharing these amazing snowflake trees from the same stamp set for a completely different look. Using my MISTI stamping tool, I centered and stamped the tree's and heat embossed them one at a time on the green foil cardstock with clear embossing ink, sprinkled with gold embossing powder, and heat set quickly as to not burn the foil cardstock.
Then from another amazing stamp company I stamped "Merry Christmas" in this amazing font, also using the MISTI stamping too to stamp in the center with clear embossing powder, sprinkled with gold embossing powder and heat set quickly. Adhered panel to the gold foil cardstock.
Added a few sparkles to the center tree with adhesive gems to complete this shiny beauty. A great card to mass produce in no time.
Here is a closeup of all that sparkle and shine...
