Hi everybody! Welcome back to Day 2 of my Growing in Unity week, that will be filled with fun Unity projects, and some of my favorite things, or what I found in my craft room, probably from a sale, because I cleaned up a bit! (lol) If you missed a day, click above and follow along and comment on each day this week to enter to win (2) Unity Stamp Co prizes!
And the crafty adventures continue...
Today's project is another very special birthday card for my other twin son who turned 19yrs old this month too! Because masculine cards can be challenging at times, as I have 3 sons, I'm always looking for new ideas and this design is great for many occasions.
One of my New Years Resolutions (ok, probably the only one, let's be real) (lol) is to use stamps or products this year, that I haven't used before. As we've all got them... especially after the many great Unity sales, so let's use those stamps people!
Today I'm using some more of my favorite things, like background stamps, patterned paper, some "new to me" Unity Stamps, more heat embossing techniques, and a little bling! Yes, boys can have bling too... you'll see!
I love this technique when you have endless colors of "thick" or pigmented inks, but not all the pretty embossing powder colors.
This one I call Clear/Clear (clear ink/clear embossing powder)
for the background.
and Color/Clear (colored pigment ink/clear embossing powder)
for the sentiment.
Click the photo's below for more details on the process.
