Hi everybody! Happy Spring! Everything is greening up and blooming here in the south and hope it will be warming up near you too! I've been wanting to play with this stamp for a while now and finally got it out to play. And I created a pretty clean and simple card for my sweet little niece who just started dance classes.

I started with a soft pink cardstock as my base. Cut a piece of pattern paper from a Valentines Day paper pad (really) that I trimmed 1/4" off equally around and adhered to the card base.
Next I used my MISTI tool to line up this sweet dancer and stamped her on white cardstock with two distress oxide inks and one regular distress ink to get the colors I wanted. I used the oxide inks just like regular ink and didn't alter them or spritz with water to make it oxide or anything, just regular color. Pretty, huh?
I don't know what we did before the MISTI...if you haven't tried one, you've got too. It will change your life and the way you stamp will improve.
The MISTI tool has a grid that helps really well for lining up your stamps and seeing exactly where you are stamping. And if you mess up and need more ink, your paper stays in place, so you can re-ink your stamp and re-stamp your image to get a really good crisp stamped image. I also used it to line up my sentiment and stamp it just perfectly in the center with black ink and stamped it twice to get a nice dark image. And adhere to your card panel. Isn't she sweet?
It's hard to see, but she had to sparkle with just a touch of stickles glitter glue to her tiara flowers and her tutu's to make her sparkle. I kept it pretty simple because my niece is 4yrs old and I didn't want anything on her card that would pose as a choking hazard. So, glitter glue was perfect and nice and flat for mailing too!
