Santa Stops Here-Holiday Card

Santa Claus is coming to town!  I found some time to fit in a few more cards to share with you all. I came across this pattern paper that had a lot of my favorite holiday prints in rows all on one sheet. And thought this is perfect for a holiday card. The sheet music reminds me of all the holiday songs we sing this time of year. The argyle print reminds me of holiday sweaters, and the candy cane stripes. And this detailed Santa and his eight reindeer is a wonderfully detailed stamp from Eat Cake Graphics. Go check out their whimsically detailed stamps. They are just precious...

For this card I wanted Santa center stage and heat embossed Santa and the Santa sign with a gorgeous metallic gold that has a touch of shimmer and colored with copic markers. And a touch of gold glitter pen under the sleigh. <truth> I left the reindeer bare because I haven't mastered coloring with browns yet and was afraid I'd mess them up. But I did color the reins and the antlers and it's not bad bare. Right? We don't have to color everything.

I placed a red adhesive pearl to Rudolph's nose. And just a touch of silver glitter glue to give his Santa’s suit a little sparkle. I cut these wonderful glitter tree stickers and placed them at bottom of the page to look like Santa had just taken off.   Ho Ho Ho…Merry Christmas! ~Kim & family
