Hi everybody! I'm excited to share with you that I've been asked to join the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers design team or {BYSHC} for short!
We are a group of cardmakers that will be sharing Christmas,
Winter Holidays, or Winter-y cards ALL year long.
And if I play my cards right (lol), by December I should have
at least 12 holiday cards done and ready to mail.
Our uber talented leader, Crystal has made it super easy, by
providing a card Sketch Challenge each month to help us build our stash of holiday cards, that you too can play and enter to win prizes too!
So don't put away those holiday stamps...get a jump start
on your 2021 holiday cards!!!

I chose to use the sketch pretty much as it is, but I added this amazing moose stamp. I LOVE it SO much, I couldn't help myself, and had to use him again this year. He's so awesome for so many occasions...all year long!

Card Tutorial: I started with 8.5x11" black cardstock from Papertrey Ink as my card base, cut in half to get two A2, 4.25 x 5.5" card bases.
Next I cut a piece of beige plaid patterned paper from Unity out with a stitched rectangle die using my Big Shot die cutting machine and adhered to the card base, as shown above.

Then I pulled out my MISTI stamping tool, placed a piece of white cardstock down, positioned the moose and inked him up with Versamark clear embossing ink. Removed the image from the MISTI, sprinkled with brown embossing powder, tapped off the excess, and set with a heat tool. I cut him out with a stitched square die using my Big Shot machine. I inked around the edges with Ranger Ink Distress Ink-Vintage Photo using a Picket Fence blending brush and adhered image to card.
I cut out a label tag from Papertrey Ink kraft cardstock using a label punch. Used my MISTI stamping tool again, I stamped the sentiment in Memento tuxedo black ink on white cardstock, trimmed it, and adhered to the kraft label.
Then I hand cut a banner from black & white plaid paper, adhered to the left side of the kraft label, and adhered the whole piece to the card. And finished the card with an ornament sticker from Jolee.

SO easy with a sketch. And if I make a few more each month, I'll end the year with LOTS of holiday cards ready to be mailed
