Tutorials:
Now let's talk about the images. The wonderful thing about these digital stamps is that you can resize them. So, if you make A2 cards, 6x6" square, 5x7", or Slimline, bigger, smaller, etc...you can.
I use a FREE WPS Office document program to copy and paste digital images to be able to layer, move images around, group together, and resize them. And printed on white X-Press It cardstock, because it's alcohol friendly.

All of these digital stamps are colored with alcohol markers; a little distress ink around the edges of two of them; all cut out with a Big Shot machine and a stitched rectangle die cut; adhered to pretty patterned papers; the whole image is adhered to 4x6 American Crafts matte cardstock pack colors; then panels are adhred to 110lb cardstock card bases; and finished with adhesive gems, dots, or ribbon.

Complete tutorial details below each card...

Tutorial: I used Angie Blom "Better in Boots" digital stamp set to create this A2 card. Colored the image with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers; used a Big Shot machine to cut out image with a stitched rectangle die; adhered to a black piece of cardstock; cut two pink Authentique pattern papers and adhered to card base, which is white 110lb Papertrey Ink cardstock; I didn't measure correctly when I cut the pretty papers and had a gap in the middle, so I filled it with a strip of hot pink lace ribbon and tied a bow; then adhered image to card; added adhesive blue glitter dots to complete.

Tutorial: I used Polka Dot Orchard ``Remember Me" digital stamp set (or Unity Stamps has in red rubber set too) to create this 5.5x5.5" squared card. Colored the image with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers; used Distress Ink-Vintage Photo around the edges of the lady and the sentiment using a Picket Fence Blending Brush; used a Big Shot machine to cut out image with a stitched rectangle die; adhered to a beige piece of cardstock; adhered a piece of My Minds Eye patterned paper to a 110lb turquoise cardstock by Papertrey Ink; adhered image to card base. Cut out sentiment, adhered to beige cardstock, and adhered to card. Added dark adhesive G45 gems to finish this beauty.

Tutorial: I used Angie Blom "Road Trip, Girl" digital stamp set to create this A2 card. Colored the image with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers; used a Big Shot machine to cut out image with a stitched rectangle die; adhered to a black piece of cardstock; cut two My Minds Eye travel pattern papers and adhered to 110lb white card base; then adhered image panel onto card at an angle; adhered blue glitter dots to the corners and a white glitter dot to the red location arrow on the left of the suitcase to complete.

Tutorial: I used Polka Dot Orchard "Rebuild Yourself" digital stamp set to create this A2 card (4.25x5.5"). Colored the image with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers; used Distress Inks-Faded Jeans and Peeled Paint for the top and bottom around image, and on the sentiment using a Picket Fence Blending Brush; used a Big Shot machine to cut out image with a stitched rectangle die; adhered image to a red piece of cardstock; adhered the whole image to a piece of striped patterned and adhered to a MME dark brown woodgrain patterned paper; then adhered whole image piece to 110lb card base by Papertrey Ink. Cut out sentiment, adhered to beige cardstock, and adhered to card. Added a piece of natural twine to the top of the sentiment and adhered with Tombow Multi liquid glue (the green one).

Growing in Unity Day 5 + Gift Card Holder + Masculine Birthday Card

Hi everybody! Welcome back for Day 5 as my Growing in Unity Week comes to a close at Unity Stamp Company! I hope you've had a fun week seeing all kinds of folds and some of my favorite things. I know, I sure have! You've inspired me with your kindness and projects. And I hope I've inspired you to try something old and make it fresh and new again!

So it wouldn't be my final day if I didn't share one more oldie, but also a goodie...Do you remember Gift Card Holders...made from upcycled toilet paper rolls or paper towel rolls? Because I know you have some in your recycle bins, as we've all been hoarding the TP for weeks! (lol).

And I'm sure some of you are like "EWE," nope, not going to use those. And that's fine. I get it, my little sister was like that too (lol). You can actually buy brand new rolls, just the rolls. Really! No kidding, at Michael's or online. Or just use a paper towel roll and cut it at 6" for todays project. Or cut it at 5 1/2" (in half) and you can get two smaller gift card holders from one paper towel roll too! We are up-cycling, re-purposing, and saving the planet today!

For today's project I'm making a Masculine Gift Card Holder and a matching Masculine Birthday Card for my eldest son, who turns 21yr next week! It's all about the boys today! Along with some of my favorite things, like, motorcycles, sports cars, glitter pens, plaid, and tags!
I have 3 sons, so cars are all the rage at my house. But I bet you didn't know I spent a 2 week honeymoon on the back of a motorcycle touring Canada and their ferry system to the islands! Fun times!
Okay...enough talk...Let's get started on some projects...

Tutorial-Gift Card Holder: Lets get our supplies together. You will need a 6" roll, MISTI stamping tool, glitter pens in red and clear; Versafine Onyx black ink; ribbon, and our two big stamps. Click or hover over pictures below for more directions.

Here is a close up...it's hard to see the sparkle on the windows and the body of the car, but it's there. Not too much though, it is for a boy! And shhhhh it's our little secret...nobody has to know we upcycled a toilet paper roll and made a gift card holder!

Next I used Unity's April Sketch Challenge to make a matching Birthday card to go along with the gift card holder!

Tutorial-Card: I started with an 8.5x11" gray piece of 110lb cardstock as our card base. Cut in half to make an A2 sized card. Cut a piece of chalky black piece of patterned paper from the MME paper pad A2-4 1/4x 5 1/2" and adhered to the card base. Cut 2 strips of patterned paper from the same MME paper pad and adhered like shown above. Click or hover over pictures below for more directions.
