It only takes a few minutes to enter a contest. You might think to yourself, "I won't win, I don't win anything." And I think to myself, "it would be nice to win." Well...I won these 3 prizes pictured in the same week. So, if you think people you know don't win... I'm here to tell you...they do! I won a set of Purple Onion Designs rubber stamps from their new spring collection; a set of masking prints from Clearscraps here in Colorado; and a Silhouette portrait pc die cutting machine. Valued at over $250. Just for taking a few minutes a day to "like, comment, or share" a post I like. I don't enter all of them, just the ones I like, but lets face it...there are very few I don't like. LOL. So, what are you waiting for? Show your love and support of your favorite vendors and you too can win too! I bought this VERY big rose cling stamp (by Stampendous: Cling Jumbo Rose Set #CRS5006) a really long time ago and used it on my Mother's Day cards. Little did I realize I did not have an acrylic block BIG enough to put it on. Panic! No...LOL...well a little. Then I searched around my craft room until I came up with a solution, because I was determined, I was going to use that stamp! My ah ha moment! I could use one of my thick Sizzix dies in the plastic case. Would the stamp cling to it? Yes it did! Pretty good too. I inked my white cardstock with Ranger Tim Holtz Spun Sugar distress ink and dragged the whole ink pad over it. Kind of random in all directions. I inked up the rose stamp with Versamark clear watermark ink (the best pigment ink) and started stamping on the cardstock. I sprinkled Inkadinkadoo White Linen embossing powder over the stamped roses and heat embossed. I stamped and embossed one rose at time and cut them out. I used pre-embossed gray cardstock by American Crafts, but you could make your own with embossing folders, and then I sanded it with a Making Memories sanding block to bring out the pattern. I used two different ribbons by layering a pink polka dot on top of a pink lace for a unique look. Stamp a sentiment, I used "hello" from Stampin Up. Using the pink cardstock scraps leftover from the rose stamp, and punched it out with an oval punch. Inked the edges of a fabric flower and added a pearl. Add some pearl gems to the center of the rose. I found this stamp very versatile and would use it not only for Mother's Day, but for birthdays, and anniversary cards too. Finished this is an A7 card. I've had my share of craft totes that worked and didn't work, but Craftsman has one for tools. You know, real tools, like hammers, screwdrivers, and stuff. Who said they couldn't be for craft tools too? Here it is empty. It's made man tough and really made to last forever. Believe me when I say it's tough, because I have dropped it many times, and it's still fine. It has lots of pockets and storage and comes in lots of colors: red/black, pink/gray, orange, green, etc... Here is my tote full of all my basic everyday products in one handy place. I just LOVE this tote. I am not endorsing Sears, I just support good products I like, that I can get for a great deal to share with everyone! The best part is it's not $40, like our other "craft" totes, this one is $10.99 or less! My husband got mine last Christmas on sale (I'm so proud of him) I kid you not, for $9.99. Check them out here at: Sears It's National Scrapbook Day! That means LOTS of manufacturers, vendors, designers, and stores are having contests, giveaways, freebies, blog hops, and deals all week, today or tomorrow. I've already won 3 prizes this week, including a Silhouette machine. No joke. Real people do win, I'm proof! I've posted a lot of them on my Facebook and Twitter pages.
