Our winner here at āMy Kraft Kloset for May 2024 is... "M.M." āāCongratulations!!! āāāā*** Update on our home renovation: What a crazy busy May I've had! My BBW store at work packed up and moved down the road to a beautiful store front after being in the mall since 1997! Then we unpacked to make it pretty for our grand opening May 10th. And for the last 3yrs we've been renovating another house just 5min down the road to downsize a bit, as our kids are grown. My husband has the new kitchen done just enough so we can finally MOVE in! We've had some set backs in those 3yrs, but it's coming together, and the last 2 weeks I've been packing like mad woman. As of yesterday, we are MOVED in and our current house goes up for sale on Monday! I'm SO excited! I'll share pictures when I'm unpacked and my new craft room too! ā āAnyhoo... back to todays projectsāā āMy New Years Resolution is in it's 3rd year of using only "new to me" Unity stamps in my ā'Friends of Unity' projects every month. ā Here's what I came up with...ā This time of year when I think of celebrations I lean towards my anniversary, birthdays, or summer parties. I combined some of my favorite things like patterns, ācolor and some sparkle!ā As I'm still using a limited amount of supplies, because now ALL my craft supplies are packed up! Which drives me only slightly crazy (lol).
āCard #1: Relax Revive Refresh
āThis month my husband and I celebrate our 28th Anniversary which inspired me to make this coffee card, because almost every morning we start our day with "coffee time" together. I started with stamping this new grunge ledger background stamp on hardwood floors pattern paper and stamped "caffeinated love" sentiments three times. Next I stamped the coffee cup and the "relax refresh revive," "be happy," and "mug of hugs" sentiments and inked up the edges, but didn't color anything. Adhered both panels to a beige plaid pattern paper and adhered to a black card base. Added some twine for a vintage look. I like the vintage look and the earthy wood tones of the pattern paper. And these stamp sets are great for all kinds of occasions.
āāSupplies I used: Unity Jolandeās Ledger stamp set; Unity Love to Go stamp set (caffeinated love sentiment); Unity Revive stamp set; Unity Mug of Hugs stamp set (sentiment); Unity Farmhouse Plaid pattern paper pack; Unity Rustic Wood pattern paper pack; MISTI stamping tool; Quick Quotes Powder Puff chalk ink-Coal Miner and Kokomo; Papertrey Ink cardstock in white and black; American Crafts natural twine; and Scor-Tape/Scor-Pal double sided tear tape from ScrapbookPalā.
Card #2: Washi This Love āI have a fairly large Unity Itty Bitty stamp collection and I'm trying to use them up. And I came across this "washi tape" kind of stamp set and thought it would be fun to create a wonky birthday cake card. I stamped the three washi stamps in different chalk ink colors to make them "pop" and adhered to pattern paper. I drew a basic cake stand by hand on the bottom, added some stickles glitter glue to the candles, adhered the image to a pink pattern paper for a border. And then adhered the panel to the flag pattern paper, and then adhere the whole panel to a black card base. Added some pink enamel dots to complete this fun "no coloring" card. Such a fun stamp set for so many occasions like graduation, birthday, or thinking of you.
āāSupplies I used: Unity Washi This Love stamp set; Unity Java Friend stamp set (sentiment); The Stamps of Life-Believe Collection pattern paper pad; MISTI stamping tool; Colorbox chalk inks: Rosebud, Lipstick Red, and Violet; Papertrey Ink cardstock in white; Ranger Stickles glitter glue-Icicle; Pink enamel dots; and Scor-Tape/Scor-Pal double sided tear tape from ScrapbookPalā.
Card #3: Party Party Party I created a card with Summer parties in mind using these fun itty bitty stamps: 3 stick chicks stamp set and party party party. These chicks remind me of going out and having fun with your gal pals. I started with a turquoise card stock base and adhered this dark pink strip. Then got out a piece of white card stock and stamped the sentiment "party" three times in a row using Coal Miner chalk ink. And then stamped the girls in the same ink. I used my fine tip markers to carefully color the sentiment and the girls, as to not smear the ink. Then I carefully colored their faces with "skin color" copic marker. I adhered the white panel to the card base. And fussy cut out a flag banner from a scrap piece leftover from card #2 and adhered to the panel. And added pink enamel dots to complete this fun card. It's a fun stamp set for many occasions like a Summer party, birthday, or just thinking of you card.
āāSupplies I used: Unity 3 Stick Chicks stamp set; Unity Party Party Party stamp set (sentiment); The Stamps of Life-Believe Collection pattern paper pad; MISTI stamping tool; Quick Quotes Powder Puff chalk ink-Coal Miner; Papertrey Ink cardstock in white; American Crafts Fine Tip Markers; Copic Marker āskin;ā Pink enamel dots; and Scor-Tape/Scor-Pal double sided tear tape from ScrapbookPalā.

"Vannessa O." āāCongratulations!!! āāāā*** Update on our home renovation: The contractor we hired last month is graciously on his 4th attempt to get this darn floor flat. Because the cement like product is fluid until it dries. Which has been frustrating, because the floor has to be smooth and flat for the type of flooring we're using and it hasn't been drying smooth or flat. But luckily, he's determined to fix it today. (fingers crossed this is it!) Then it should be ready for cabinets and flooring next week and we can finally move in this month. We're SO SO close! ā(YAY!--fingers crossed) Thank you SO for your prayers, kindness, and support during this 3 YEAR project!!! Yes, it has been that long! ā << Anyhoo... back to todays projects >>āā āI don't usually make resolutions, but I've got an āon going "New Years Resolution" in it's 3rd year now of using only ā"new to me" not used Unity stamps in my 'Friends of Unity' projects every month. Because those darn good sales get me EVERY time (lol) and my stash just keeps growing! Here's what I came up with...ā Using limited supplies (because I'm mostly packed up for our move) I combined some of my favorite things like pattern paper, color, ālayers and of course some bling too!ā ā
Card #1: You are TEA-riffic
Mothers Day is Sunday May 12th and Unity has some great stamps for those special ladies in your life that I'm sure you'd like to show your love and appreciation. And we have lots of inspiration for you. One special lady in my life is an avid tea drinker and I thought this stamp set was perfect for her. I stamped on this soft pink pattern paper from Unity and I surrounded it with the rectangle scalloped border stamp set that is perfect if you are not a die cutting crafter or want a matching border. And it's one of my favorites. Then I layered the image with a darker pink cardstock, then a dark brown cardstock, and adhered it to a white card base. Did a little coloring, added some pearls for a touch of elegant bling, and added a pink bow from a Unity gift bag to complete. āIt's Tea-time! Great for many occasions.
Supplies I used: Unity Tea Love stamp set; Unity Rectangle Scalloped border stamp; Unity Enveloped In Love pattern paper pack; MISTI stamping tool; Quick Quotes Powder Puff chalk ink-Kokomo; Papertrey Ink cardstock in dark pink, dark chocolate and white; American Crafts Fine Tip Markers; Kat Scrappiness snow pearls; and Scor-Tape/Scor-Pal double sided tear tape from ScrapbookPalā.

Card #2:
A Life That Touches Others Goes On Forever Shhhhhhhhhhh.... Don't tell anyone, but this card is for my Mom. And I'm going to apologize upfront, because this tree stamp has been discontinued. I know and I feel terrible and I had no idea until I went looking for it online and couldn't find it. But I could swear there is a version of this tree stamp in an older membership kit, but I couldn't find that either. So look in your stash you may have it. If you do, let me know and I'll add the kit name here for everyone to see too. āAgain, I am so sorry, but I had to share this card anyways, because I didn't have time to make anything else. But I did include some amazing tree stamp substitutes below that are currently available at Unity. And I used a couple other stamps that are "new to me" on this card too!
Supplies I used: Unity Dream Tree stamp set (sorry discontinued, see alternatives below); Unity Thoughts From The Past stamp set (background); Unity Life Touches stamp set (sentiment); Unity Enveloped In Love pattern paper pack (strip on left side); MISTI stamping tool; Quick Quotes Powder Puff chalk ink-Kokomo; Papertrey Ink cardstock in ivory and white; American Crafts pastel green cardstock; Stampin Up decorative Label Punch (or EK Success has one too); Kat Scrappiness snow pearls; and Scor-Tape/Scor-Pal double sided tear tape from ScrapbookPalā.
I did find out from Kelli, at Unity, that this tree is one of the original "Dream Tree" stamps that was mounted on maple wood and turned into it's own red rubber kit. And I treasure it because it used to belong to my younger sister, who some of you know, passed away from breast cancer in 2017.
I inherited some of her craft supplies and I try to incorporate some of her supplies in a lot of my projects to keep her memory alive, spread breast cancer awareness, and to feel closer to her. And while packing I came across this stamp and I've been wanting to use for a long time. It reminded me of a family tree and I know my mom will appreciate knowing it used to belong to Karla. This card is quite symbolic. āāHover over the process pictures below for more details.
Unity has many amazing pattern paper packs that are on sale this weekend. I love to mix and match themes and I chose this soft muted "Enveloped in Love" pack as my background, cut a 1" strip, and adhered it along the left side of a white card base. And adhered a soft pastel green cardstock next to the pattern strip.
Next I randomly stamped the "thoughts of the past" in brown chalk ink because it looked like an old postcard on ivory cardstock and then the tree in brown chalk ink for a vintage mixed media type look. I roughed up the edges and inked them in brown to make it look aged. And adhered to the card. Then I stamped the sentiment in brown ink on the same pastel green cardstock as the background, paper punched it, cut it down to fit in the corner and adhered to the card. Next I adhered this lovely butterfly with a white bow I got in a gift bag from Unity in the center of the tree. Because butterflies are symbolic of rebirth. And then I added some pearls for bling and to represent us family members. A great card for many occasions and no coloring. ā Below are some amazing substitute tree stamps that would work tooā
Here is a close up of both special "Mom" cards...

āāāOur theme for March is... Found in Nature
āOH! The many thoughts and possibilities!ā What does found in nature mean to you? To me, this time of year in the South everything is preparing to bloom soon. I am inspired by the colors, all the greenery and flowers around me, and the peace I find walking or driving around in nature that soothes my soul.

'Friends of Unity' projects every month. Because those darn good sales get me EVERY time (lol)! Check out the Unity Leap Year Sale... you're welcome! Using limited supplies (because I am packed up for our move) I am combining some of my favorite things like pretty pattern papers, flowers, coloring, and some sparkle too! House update: We had to go through another contractor on our kitchen remodel and got the kitchen floor grinded and re-poured (again) and it should be ready for cabinets this weekend or next week and hopefully we can move in sometime this month. ā(YAY!--fingers crossed) We're SO close! āHere's what I came up with...ā ā
āCard #1: Simply Sunflowers
Spring has sprung and I'm inspired by the budding flowers in the South and the bright colors in this amazing alcohol inks paper pack really spoke to me SO much that I used it on all three cards today. I just LOVE it! And I love making my own background paper, but this pack is stunning. āThe yellow pattern paper goes perfect with this fabulous sunflower background stamp and looks like I water colored it. I kept it simple and fairly flat for mailing and let the paper be the color and added some sparkle in the centers of the flowers.
Supplies I used: Unity Rainbow Alcohol Ink Papers Pack (yellow background pattern paper); Unity Simply Sunflowers (border backgrounds) stamp set; Unity Many Happy Birdies (sentiment); MISTI stamping tool; Quick Quotes Powder Puff chalk ink-Kokomo; Papertrey Ink cardstock-dark chocolate and summer sunrise; Ranger Ink Stickles (glitter glue)-Cinnamon (center of flowers); and Scor-Tape/Scor-Pal double sided tear tape from ScrapbookPalā.
āHover over the process pictures below for more details.
āCard #2: Wildflower Critters
The blue pattern paper reminds me of the big blue skies of Colorado, in the mountains with wildflowers for miles that goes perfect with this darling stamp set. Can you see the hidden critters hiding in the flowers? They are so cute. I kept this one simple for mailing too, colored with fine tip markers, and colored pencils. And added some sparkle in the center of a few of the flowers, the bee, and the butterflies.
Supplies I used: Unity Rainbow Alcohol Ink Papers Pack (blue background pattern paper); Unity Wildflower Critter stamp and sentiment set; MISTI stamping tool; Quick Quotes Powder Puff chalk ink-Coal Miner; American Crafts Fine Tip Markers; waxy-CrazArt Colored Pencils; Papertrey Ink cardstock-blueberry sky and spring rain; Ranger Ink Stickles (glitter glue)-Icicle (center of flowers, bee, and butterflies); and Scor-Tape/Scor-Pal double sided tear tape from ScrapbookPalā.
Hover over the process pictures below for more details.
āCard #3: Luck To Go
These green pattern papers reminded me of hunting for four leaf clovers in clover patches when I was a kid. And how lucky I felt when I found one. Did you ever do that? I know a coffee cup may not necessarily be found in nature (unless it's trash unfortunately), but sometimes I'm "found in nature" with my coffee on a drive or a walk surrounded by amazing greenery in the South. This too is a simple card for mailing that I colored a few clovers with fine tip markers, fussy cut a large clover I stamped on the darker pattern paper and added some sparkle in the center of a few clovers.
Supplies I used: Unity Rainbow Alcohol Ink Papers Pack (green background pattern papers); Unity Luck To Go stamp and sentiment set; MISTI stamping tool; Quick Quotes Powder Puff chalk ink-Coal Miner; American Crafts Fine Tip Markers; Ranger Ink Stickles (glitter glue)-Icicle (center of flowers, bee, and butterflies); and Scor-Tape/Scor-Pal double sided tear tape from ScrapbookPalā.

I LOVE anything with butterflies, āso my head was spinning with SO many ideas!
No foolin'... it's a new month and I'm continuing with my
ā"New Years Resolution" to use only "new to me" Unity stamps every month this year, along with some of my favorite things. Like coloring, ribbon, cards & tags this month.āā āHere's what I came up with...ā ā
Project #1: Hair Bun, Laptop, & Butterflies
āI chose this Angiegirl because she resembles my daughter and I hadn't used her before. My daughter celebrated her birthday recently and she wears her hair in a bun like this often, has a laptop, wears comfy clothes, slippers, and loves butterflies. And I stamped a special butterfly envelope too! As some of you know, we lost my little sister to breast cancer 5 1/2 years ago and Native Americans considered butterflies a symbol of transformation, hope, and rebirth. And other cultures believe they are another spirit animal. So whenever we see a butterfly, we feel her near us, like a guardian angel. Enjoy all the butterfly inspiration!ā
Supplies used:
āUnity Products: Clara Girl Stamp Set; Butterflies are from the Eeyore stamp kit; Efflorescence (envelope Art) Stamp; and Rectangles & Scallops Nesting Dies Big Shot die cutting machine; MISTI stamping tool; Versafine Clair-Nocturne black ink; Distress Oxide Inks: Wilted Violet, Cracked Pistachio, and Fossilized Amber; Picket Fence Blender Brush; Copic and Spectrum alcohol markers and SN Clear Sprakle Brush; Spectrum Noir Cardstock; American Crafts Fine Detail Markers (pink/red); Papertrey Ink Cardstock: light blue, pink, purple, and white 110lb cardstock base; Scrappy Tape (double sided tear tape) at Scrapbookpal; and Assorted Colored Envelopes. ā
Project #2: Beautiful Butterfly Coffee Cup
āI love coffee and butterflies, so this stamp set is a perfect combo. I kept this card pretty simple. I stamped on a scrap piece of light blue cardstock (it's thinner, but as tall as an A2 card), colored the butterflies and ground with alcohol markers, added some sparkle to the butterflies, a couple of crinkled ribbons, and this beauty was done in no time. So pretty for Easter, Mothers Day, or any occasion.
āSupplies used:
āUnity Products: Flutters To Go stamp set MISTI stamping tool; Versafine Clair-Nocturne black ink; Copic and Spectrum alcohol markers and SN Clear Sparkle brush; Papertrey Ink Cardstock: lt. blue cardstock base; Scrappy Tape (double sided tear tape) at Scrapbookpal; and crinkle ribbon. ā
Project #3: Pure Magic Tag
āI don't know if moths are considered butterflies or not, and I usually don't like moths, but this one I can't deny it's beauty, so I chose to share it today. I used a kraft tag I got from the many gift bags we get when we order from Unity. And kept it simple by only coloring the flowers with a white colored pencil and a white marker. Then I added some sparkle to the moth, which darkened it a bit, added a light pink adhesive glitter enamel dot to the center flower, added a crinkle ribbon and some twine to finish this tag. So pretty for Easter, Mother's Day, a birthday, Graduation, or any occasion.
Supplies used:
Unity Products: Pure Magic stamp set; Sending a Happy Hello stamp set (sentiment); Unity kraft tag; and Unity twine MISTI stamping tool; Versafine Clair-Pinecone brown ink; Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle brush; Ranger Ink Distress Marker-Picket Fence (white); Prismacolor pencil-white; a light pink adhesive glitter enamel dot; and crinkle ribbon. ā
ā Project #4: Butterfly tag or bookmarker
āI save almost every scrap I think I can use on another project. I saw this scrap piece of stamped butterflies when I was going through my scraps and thought I can turn this into something. And it could be a gift tag, or a bookmarker, or could go on an A2 card too. It was originally stamped on watercolor pattern paper using Distress Oxide Ink-Wilted Violet, clear embossing powder, and heat set. Then I a few other scraps adhered to white cardstock, added purple adhesive rhinestones and enamel glitter dots. Added this gorgeous purple rose ribbon that completes this project with NO coloring, just bling. Great for many occasions too!
Supplies used:
āUnity Products: It's Been Too Long; Sending a Happy Hello stamp set (sentiment) MISTI stamping tool; Ranger Ink Distress Oxide Ink-Wilted Violet; Clear Embossing Powder; Marvy Uchida Heat Tool; Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle brush; Papertrey Ink white cardstock; MFT Watercolor pattern papers; purple adhesive rhinestones and glitter enamel dots; May Arts rose ribbon; Scrappy Tape (double sided tear tape) at Scrapbookpal. ā
Here are all the butterfly projects again.
Which is your favorite?

OH! How we LOVE coffee, tea, and cocoa all year long!
What's your favorite? I LOVE vanilla lattes and anything pumpkin spice this time of year. My biggest challenge is usually deciding "what" to use. āFollow along as I continue with my "New Years Resolution" to use Unity stamps I haven't ever used before. So far, I've done it every month this year and it's been great to use these stamps and show them some love! I combined several stamps with a few of my favorite things, like background stamps, splatters & ink smooshing, Angiegirls, and fall colors. ā Here's what I came up with... ā
Card #1: Fall Birthday Card
We have a lot of fall birthdays in my family, so I knew I wanted to use fall colors. And I hadn't used this birthday balloons background before and they kind of looked like coffee cup stains. I didn't want to cover them up, so I used this vertical happy birthday balloon stamp, fussy cut this cute coffee cup, and popped it up in the center of the balloon. Great for anyone, anytime, just change colors! Easy and fun, right!?!
āāSupplies used:
Unity: Balloon Party (background) Stamp Unity: Happy Birthday Balloon (itty bitty) Unity: Coffee Side by Side (itty bitty) (coffee cup) Unity: Rustic Wood 6x6 paper pack MISTI stamping tool Ranger Ink Distress Oxide Inks: Carved Pumpkin and Candied Apple (Balloons); and Rusty Hinge and Walnut Stain (coffee cup) Paptertrey Ink Cardstock: White (Happy Balloon) and Orange 110lb cardstock (card base); Ranger Tim Holtz Watercolor cardstock; 3D foam tape (coffee cup); Double sided tear tape (scor-tape) at Scrapbookpal. āā
Card #2: Witches Brew Card
I've been wanting this witch set for a while and not sure what took me so long, but I finally got her. Isn't she amazing? I LOVE her! And I've seen a bunch of cards with her colored lately, so I wanted to do something different. I ink smooshed the background, stamped her and the sentiment in a dark brown ink (goes with the coffee theme-HeeHee), and just colored a few places on the witch. āAs she enjoys her latte (cuz she's me), I'm sure she's brewing up some mischief for Fall. What do you think?
āSupplies used:
Unity: A Real Witch Stamp Set (witch and sentiment) Unity: Rustic Wood 6x6 paper pack MISTI stamping tool Versafine Clair Ink-Pinecone (witch and sentiment) Ranger Ink Distress Oxide: Fossilized Amber and Faded Jeans (background) Copic and Spectrum Noir alcohol markers (colors shown in picture above) Ranger Tim Holtz Watercolor Cardstock; Paptertrey Ink Cardstock: Black matte and Blue (card base) 110lb cardstock; Lawn Fawn orange plaid pattern paper scrap; BoBunny Double Dot yellow dot pattern paper scrap; Blue glitter adhesive enamel dots; Double sided tear tape (scor-tape) at Scrapbookpal. Happy New Year!!!
Welcome to our January 2022 ā ~ Friends of Unity Blog Hop ~ where several amazing designer friends got together 4 years ago to share their love (and obsessions) of āUnity Stamp Company to inspire you with amazing projects each month! I joined this amazing team 3 years ago and have been inspired and challenged every month and have made life long friendships! Happy Anniversary, dear crafty friends! Cheers to many more years! āā*** Before I get started... here's an update on my life, if you've been following me or not, we're still renovating a new house and I'm hopeful to move in by the Spring. Who knows?!? I'm hopeful. I've stopped asking my husband when, as we've had several delays and set backs. It will happen when it happens. I'm still in limbo with my crafting products split between two houses, which has made crafting a challenge. But because this months theme is CAS, ā I was able to carve out some time and join the crafty fun this month! Thank you for your patience, kindness, and support of my Blog, social media channels, and for following my crafty adventures during my crafting "limbo." It means the world to me! *** The last time I hopped was November 2021 and with the hustle and bustle of the holidays I forgot to pick a āwinner sooner. <sorry> Our Winner for November here at āMy Kraft Kloset is... āāā"Laurie B." āCongratulations!!! ā
Our theme for January is... CAS = Clean and Simple!!!
Fun, right? Well, if you know me or follow me, then you know I love patterned paper, lots of layers, and bling. So CAS is very challenging for me and not typical of what I usually make. But because my supplies are split between two houses right now, I gave it a whirl with what I had on my desk, and this is what I came up with. If I can do it, anyone can! I kept asking myself "what is CAS?" "What is it really?" "What does it mean to me?" And then I'd add something (lol). So I looked up some CAS Rules and found these on several CAS Challenge sites and this is what I followed: āClean and Simple (CAS) Definition: *One main image *Lots of open space (uncluttered) *Limited layers & embellishments *Keep it Simple ā*Quick & easy to recreate
Let's Get Started...
ā āCard #1: Coffee... you're my favorite, duh! I used three layers, because I'm easing myself into the CAS concept here, by using just 3 simple layers. (lol) I cut my 8.5"x11" white cardstock long ways, where my card folds at the top and opens at the bottom to get this look. āAnd on all my projects today I am using all Unity stamps I've never used before... that's one of my goals this year, is to use "new to me" or never used stamps! What are your crafting goals this year?
Supplies: āUnity Stamps: Coffee side by side and Whit's Words sentiment set. Other Supplies: Brutus Monroe Lunchbag (kraft) Cardstock; Papertrey Ink 110lb white cardstock; āMISTI Stamping Tool; VersaFine Clair ink-Pinecone; Spectrum Noir red alcohol marker; crinkled vintage ribbon; Scor-tape (tear tape double sided adhesive) by Scor-Pal
āCard #2: All Bundled Up... brrr it's been COLD in the South! I used two layers on this card, because I can't not use any layers yet! (lol) But it's getting less! That's pretty simple for me, but I'm determined to get even more CAS. āLets see if I can do it...ā
I only used 2 stamps from the same stamp set to keep it simple. And here is a close up of the Diamond Stickles glitter glue on the snowflakes, for a touch of sparkle, with less mess. Love it!
Supplies: āUnity Stamps: In the Meadow. Other Supplies: Papertrey Ink 110lb white cardstock and light blue; āMISTI Stamping Tool; Ranger Ink Distress Oxide Ink-Faded Jeans and Diamond Stickles (glitter glue); Big Shot die cutting machine; Gina Marie Stitched Rectangle Dies; Scor-tape (tear tape double sided adhesive) by Scor-Pal
Card #3: Where Your Peeps Are I used two layers here with more open space, and getting more CAS, for me. Don't you think? I could make a bunch of these and send to friends or family, just to say "hello," so cute!
Click pics below or hover over for supply details.
āCard #4: Sent With Love OMGoodness I did it!!! I can't believe it, but I only used ONE layer here, with some open space, and only bakers twine as an embellishment and NO bling! That's pretty BIG for me to do! And it's cute, right? Again I cut my cardstock long ways, but turned the card to fold on the left and open on the right. I can make a bunch of these for Valentines Day or any lovey dovey day! It's a cute itty bitty set.
Here is my CAS journey progression...
I hope we've inspired you to play with your stamps, try different designs, and see if you can make CAS cards too!
If I can, anybody can. (lol) āThe possibilities are endless! ā << Supplies I used are available below, with some affiliate links āāthat gives me a small commission. Happy Shopping! >>

Our theme for December is... My Favorite Things!
Well, this could mean many different things to all of us. So, I'm sharing some of my favorite Unity stamps & favorite techniques. Like I LOVE heat embossing, celebrating, coloring, ink smooshing,ā and the many fabulous Angiegirls!
Card #1: I am using my favorite Ranger gold embossing power, clear embossing powder, and Versamark clear ink; Unity Stamp Sets: New Year-Midnight Resolutions (wit & wisdom), Numbers, ETC, Tiny Grained Banners, and Go Forward; MISTI stamping tool; Graphic 45 patterned paper; Brutus Monroe Lunchbag kraft cardstock; AC gold glitter cardstock; Gina Marie stitched dies; a few adhesive metallic stars; and a gold ribbon finishes up this sparkling card to ring in the New Year! ā
āCheers to a better 2021!
Here is a close up of all that sparkle...and I added just a touch of black to the "happy new year" to make it stand out more.
āAt the end of this post you will find Supply links for the products I used to make all of these cards.
Card #2: Is a monochromatic card using one of my favorite Angiegirls from Unity Stamps set "Warm & Cozy Season," using my MISTI stamping tool, Memento black tuxedo ink, and colored with my favorite Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. Papertrey Ink cardstock, and BoBunny Double Dot patterned paper; and a circle die cut set from Gina Marie Designs. With a heat embossed sentiment (from the same kit) using Distress Oxide Ink in Cracked Pistachio and Versamark clear ink to create this cozy card.
And if you aren't a fan of faceless girls, that's ok. Unity makes face stamps to use along with these pretty girls too!
Here is a close up of this pretty girl...
Card #3: Is a Unity Stamp Angiegirl favorite of mine called "December Girl" and I made this pretty girl last year for a fellow designer friend "Bobbie Sue's" birthday, but I never got a picture of it. And she surprised me with this sweet picture yesterday, so I decided to share it with you all...finally! Sweet, right? Thank you so much Bobbie Sue!!!
The background is created with one of my favorite techniques called ā"ink smooshing" using distress inks, spray water, a MISTI stamping tool, and Memento black tuxedo ink. The girl and flowers are lightly colored with Prismacolor watercolor pencils. And using a mix of my favorite Papertrey Ink cardstock; patterned papers from BoBunny Double Dot and Lawn Fawn Plaid; a favorite stitched die cut from Gina Marie Designs; and a sentiment stamp from a Unity grab bag perfectly completes this beautiful girl!
Card #4: Uses another favorite Angiegirl from the Unity Stamp set " Dream of Being {so loved}" with a sentiment from "Comfort to Go." And I'm SO excited to share with you all that this card is published in the Winter 2020 issue of āCreative Scrapbooker Magazine available now worldwide in digital or print!!!
This girl is stamped using my MISTI stamping tool, Gina K Designs-Amalgam black ink, and colored with Spectrum Noir markers; layered with my favorite Papertrey Ink solid cardstocks, pretty blue pattern paper from BoBunny Vintage Dot, and plaid pattern paper from Lawn Fawn; a favorite banner die cut from Gina Marie Designs; and finished with several Unity sequins for some added sparkle!
I hope I've inspired you to play with your stamps, mix them up, try heat embossing, color, or ink smooshing and see where āit takes you! āāThe possibilities are endless!

Grab a refreshing beverage, sit back and enjoy the holiday inspiration ALL week on FB, IG, and blog hopping!!! And the best part...you can "link up" and play along too! Click "here" for more details or click the pic below... For today's project I used two amazing digital stamp sets to create this darling scene using some of my favorite things. Let's get started... Tutorial: I started with an piece of black 12x12 cardstock and cut for a 7.5 x 6.25" card base. I made this bigger to frame it and hang in my kitchen at my coffee station during the holidays. But you can totally make this a card in any size and I'll tell you how below. Then I cut a piece of plaid holiday patterned paper 7.25x6" adhered to the card base. Let's work on the image. The wonderful thing about these digital stamps is you can resize them and mix and match to create whatever scene you want. So, if you make A2 cards or larger, you can. I use this FREE WPS Office document program to copy and paste digital images to be able to layer, move images around, and resize them. It's a really easy program for pc's and macs and more. I love layering and creating new, fun scenes, like this one. See pictures below to continue the tutorial… I copied and pasted the coffee mug and sentiment from one Christmas set. And the mice, cinnamon sticks, and beans from a Fall set. And lined them up, flipped one of the mice so their facing each other, resized them all on the same 8.5x11" layout. Once I had the images where I wanted them, I grouped them as one piece, saved, and renamed as a “new” document in the same file as my original stamp set, to use again for future use. Then I printed my image on my HP inkjet printer using the thin brand of HL white cardstock, and colored it with Distress Ink colors shown above, water color pencils, and an H2O brush. Just lightly with very little water, as to keep the color vibrant, and not warp the paper. Next I trimmed out the image down to 6.5x 5.5" , cut the corners with a corner rounder punch, added a few brown distress dots inked to the edges like coffee stains, and adhered to the card. Added just a touch of bling with a gold glitter pen around the rim of the cup and center of the poinsettia's. And adhered a holiday ribbon on to two opposite corners to keep this card flat for mailing. Or fame it for the holidays, like I plan to do! Tip: You can certainly make these smaller, A2 size (5.5x4.25") for instance, and group 4 images on one sheet of 8.5x11" white card stock and print four images at a time for mass producing your holiday cards. Here's another look... I hope I've inspired you to try digital stamps and mix different sets and get started on your holiday cards. The possibilities are endless and oh so fun! I used these Polka Dot Orchard Digital Stamp Sets: Merry Little Coffee and Pumpkin Spice Mice All Christmas & Winter sets are 50% off and all other sets are 35% off AND this NEW digital paper set, Peppermint Wishes is FREE this week ONLY thru Aug 1st too! The Paper Girls Challenge #204 - Christmas in July! It's almost officially summer in a couple days and Independence Day in the USA is right around the corner. So I'm celebrating early with this Patriotic slimline cutie I created with digital stamps from ==> Polka Dot Orchard!!! So many wonderful stamps to choose from and they are ALL ON SALE for 35% off right now too!!! Slimline cards are all the rage these days. You may have seen these tall, long cards, but didn't know they had a name. And many companies, including Polka Dot Orchard are coming out with long "slimline" stamps and some have dies now too! They are long narrow cards that allow for more details on a card and they fit in a #10 business envelope, which measures 4 ⅛ ” x 9 ½." And requires just ONE first class stamp and no extra postage, if not heavy or bulky! Mine of course, would probably take two stamps, because of all that ribbon and some rhinestones! That's worth it for all this wonderfully fun creative space! Let's get started... Tutorial: I started with an 8.5” x 11” piece of blue 110lb cardstock, folded long ways for our card base, and trimmed down to 4 1/8" x 9 3/4." Using a fireworks stencil, distress oxide inks, and a blending brush I added several fireworks and yellow stars to the blue card base. And set aside for a moment. Let's work on the image. I use a WPS Free Office document program to copy and paste digital images to be able to layer, move images around, and resize them. I love layering and creating scenes. And it’s so fun and easy to do with digital stamps and this free program. See pictures below to continue the tutorial… For today's project I copied 3 girl gnomes and placed them in a pyramid to create my own slimline card. Added and resized the sentiment to fit under the gnomes and added 3 mushrooms in different sizes to create our scene. Once I had the images where I wanted them, I grouped them as one piece, saved, and renamed as a “new” document in the same file as my original stamp set, to use again for future use. I printed my image on my HP printer using X-Press It white cardstock, because it's alcohol marker friendly paper. I was inspired by Independence Day and colored the images with the Spectrum Noir alcohol marker colors shown above. I thought the gnomie girls would be cute in gray sweatsuit outfits, like we wore at cheer camp (many years ago). Aren’t they cute? I just love them for many occasions! It’s hard to see, but I added a bit of sparkle to their coffee cups and bows with a clear glitter pen and red sparkle on their lips too. Added a touch of white accents on their cheeks and bows with a white distress maker-picket fence (white). Then highlighted some of the sentiment with a coordinating green marker to make it stand out. I trimmed down the image and decorated the top and bottom with a border punch. Next I used a handmade cloud stencil I created from a border die in my stash, a blending brush, and distress oxide ink to create clouds and a darkening sky for nighttime. But it looked too stark. So I grabbed a speckled stencil, blending brush, and distress oxide ink to add some random green dots to resemble grass. Dug into my bag of ribbon scraps and pulled out red, white, and blue patterned ribbons, trimmed them down and adhered to the back of the image panel. Then adhered the whole piece to the card base. Added a few clear adhesive stars that I colored with a yellow marker to complete this patriotic cutie. Here's another look... I hope I've inspired you to try digital stamps and slimline cards to see what you can create. The possibilities are endless! Tutorial: I started with an A2 kraft card base that folds down from the top. Using a die cutting machine and a stitched scalloped die to cut out a piece of multi-colored striped patterned paper and adhered to the card base. Got out a piece of white cardstock, taped down the coffee bean stencil with purple tape. Blended over the stencil with two brown Distress Oxide inks and a small blending brush, great for stenciling. Using a die cutting machine and a rectangle die to cut out stenciled image. Save the leftover stencil piece for another card (see espresso card on IG later this week). And inked the edges with brown Distress Oxide ink and adhered to the card. Adhered a scrap piece of dark wood patterned paper across the center panel. Took a scrap piece of āsnap bookā notebook looking patterned paper and stamped the sentiment in brown Distress ink, but it was too light, so I went over it with a brown LePen. Inked the edges with brown Distress ink. Click next picture to complete this tutorial...
Next I took out one of the NEW āLatteā chipboard words from the package, colored it with a Versamarker clear embossing pen, sprinkled with brown embossing powder, and heat set. See that shine in the above picture? It's awesome! Adhered it to the sentiment paper with Beacon 3 to 1 liquid glue, because itās strong bonding. Added some coffee splatters and adhered to the card. And this caffeinated cutie is finished. ā

Tutorial: I started with an 8.5x11ā piece of kraft cardstock, folded in half (not seen in photo). Adhered a piece of 6x6 vintage looking patterned paper to card base. I cut a teal piece of patterned paper from the same paper pack about 3x6ā and adhered to the card. Next I layered and re-sized these digital stamp images from two coffee sets, printed on X-Press It white cardstock using an HP Deskjet printer. Colored the images with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, mostly browns, grays, and a pop of teal. āUsing a die cutting machine and a postage die to cut out the image. Then blended around the edges with distress oxide ink with a blending brush. And adhered to a dark piece of wood patterned paper and adhered to the card. Trimmed down the card to about 5x6ā and added a few metallic gem pearls. And added a touch of sparkle to the silver metal pieces on the āold timeyā coffee bean grinder with a clear sparkle pen to complete this beauty.

āPolka Dot Orchard Digital Stamps: He Said Coffee and Sack Of Beans; Kraft Cardstock, Brutus Monroe; My Minds Eye: 6x6 "Remarkable" pattern papers and 6x6 Necessities "Wood" patterned paper; X-Press It white cardstock @Ellen Hutson LLC; Spectrum Noir alcohol markers; Big Shot die cutting machine; Kat Scrapiness: Postage Die set; Distress Oxide Ink: Scattered Straw; Picket Fence Studios: Life Changing Blending Brushes; Graphic 45: adhesive metallic gem pearls; Atyou Spica glitter pen-clear, Blick Artā; and 1/2" Scor-Tape adhesive. Hi everybody!!! Kim here sharing a masculine Valentines Day card using the "He Said Coffee" set for our main image, background, and sentiment. Plus another sentiment from "Lollipop Love" all by Polka Dot Orchard digital stamps. It's a wonderful set so great for all kinds of projects. And if you don't do Valentines, then this set is awesome for Father's Day or Birthday cards too! And check out the inside of the card...ooo-La-La! How I made this card... I use a WPS Free Office program to copy and paste Polka Dot Orchard digital images. It allows me to layer digital images to create one piece, by moving them around, or bringing images forward and back behind images. Once I resized them to fit on our card and had the images where I wanted them, I printed on my HP printer using white cardstock from HL, using the thin brand. And print two sets of sentiments (one for the front and the other for the inside) I colored the image with a combination of Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, Prismacolor colored pencils and Gamsol, to get the right color scheme I wanted. And brushed Distress Inks around the edges with a blending brush. Because who doesn't love a guy in pink, wearing an apron, serving coffee? Right? Then using a die cutting machine, I cut out the the image panel with a stitched rectangle die. And set aside, as I made our card base. Next I took an 8.5x11" kraft cardstock, folded in half to create our card base. Then using a die cutting machine again, I cut out a piece of striped patterned paper with an Edgers Confetti Cuts die, and adhered to card base with arrow pointing to the left. But I changed my mind and flipped the striped panel and made the arrow pointing to the right. Cut a strip of red cardstock and adhere to card. Took a red paper doily, cut in half, and adhered to card. Trimmed down the kraft card base. Cut and adhered a gray satin ribbon across the center. Adhered our main man image panel over that ribbon and doily to card. Cut a second piece of ribbon, tie in a bow, and adhere to card. As shown below... Then take those sentiments we printed earlier and hand sketch brown lines around the first line of one of the sentiments, cut it out, and adhere to front of card. Take the second sentiment (without the first line) adhere to inside of card. Adhere embellishment hearts leftover from another project, but any heart stickers, punches, or die cuts would work too. Added a touch of clear glitter pen to the coffee mug and hearts for a touch of sparkle to complete this handsome, sexy, sassy card. So fun, right??? I hope I've inspired you to try digital stamps, try layering, mix and match products and see what you can create. The possibilities are endless! If you like what I created today Shop here ==> Polka Dot Orchard digital stamps Thanks for stopping by! Repeat Impressions DCC F520 ~ Hearts Simon Says Wed Challenge: With Love Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper February 2020 challenge LTCCB #43 - February Anything Goes LTSCB #130 - Red and/or Pink Equals Love The Card Concept #128 {Be Mine, Valentine}-I was inspired by the colors, stripes, shapes, and hearts in my shabby chic and vintage style card. Hi everybody!!! Kim here sharing some warm winter wishes with you all courtesy of Polka Dot Orchard digital stamps. And because winter has returned to the south and it's been unusually cold. Which makes me want to go for a warm cup of cocoa with a touch of peppermint too! Couldn't you? And this "Cozy Brew" digital stamp set is sure to give you all the cozy vibes too! So great for all kinds of occasions. How I made this card: I started with an A2 kraft card base and turned it sideways, with the opening on the right. Cut a piece of wood patterned paper ¼” smaller than the card base, to resemble a table. Stamped a few random coffee ring stains from my stash, with brown distress ink and adhered to the card base. Cut a piece of green patterned paper that resembled a table runner and adhered to the card. I use a WPS Free Office program to copy and paste Polka Dot Orchard digital images. It allows me to layer several digital images to create one piece, move them around, bring images forward and back. Once I resized and had the images where I wanted them, I printed on my HP printer using white cardstock from HL, the thin brand. Next I colored with a mix of watercolor pencils and Prismacolor colored pencils with Gamsol to blend. I used the two different mediums, because I wanted a variation of colors and patterns. If you’ve never used Gamsol, it’s odorless mineral spirits that thins the pigment in the colored pencils for blending or painting. But it doesn’t work with all colored pencils, just pigmented colored pencils, like Prismas. And the color is blended with a pencil like stub tool dipped in Gamsol or a Q-tip and gives the look of water coloring. Then using a die cutting machine, I cut out the left side of the image panel with a stitched scallop edge die, trimmed the image, and punched the right corners with a corner rounder. Adhered a scrap piece of brown cardstock to the right side, behind the image panel, adhered the two together, and adhered to the card. Added some sparkle, of course, with a clear glitter pen and a few enamel glitter dots. And wrapped a couple turns of a natural twine around the front right side for some texture to complete this cozy cup. Perfect for a chilly day like today! I hope I've inspired you to try digital stamps, try layering, mix and match colors and patterns and see what you can create. The possibilities are endless! If you like what I created today Shop here ==> Polka Dot Orchard digital stamps Thanks for stopping by! And you can play along too...details ==> "here" or click the coffee picture below! For my caffeinated project today I chose this amazing digital stamp set "A Grateful Heart" by Polka Dot Orchard It's a wonderful set for many occasions, with different sentiments, but this one is especially great for Thanksgiving! Don't you think? How I made this Fall Card: I started with two pieces of 8.5x11" orange cardstock, folded in half, and trimmed down to 6.5x5" for the card base. Cut the second piece in half and trimmed down to fit card base exactly, but for embossing. Sorry I'm into odd sized cards lately. The A2's seem too small and 5x7" seem to large. So, I'm somewhere in the middle. For the second orange piece, and using a die cutting machine, place inside an embossing folder, to get this amazing tree impression texture that won't show though to the inside, because of this extra step, but you will eventually adhere it to the front of the card base, but not yet...just set aside for a moment. Next I printed the image on X-Press It white cardstock, layered a sentiment inside, and printed on an HP Laserjet printer. Using the die cutting machine again, cut out image with a stitched die. This time I water colored lightly, with very little water, as to not warp my paper, and dipped my water brush directly into the distress ink colors to achieve this look. And used a blending brush to add color around the edges. Then adhered the image to a brown piece of cardstock for matting and adhered to the orange embossed panel. And adhered the whole panel to the card base as our front piece. I am mad for plaids...so I had to add some to this Fall card. So I cut a strip of this plaid patterned paper 1x5" and cut down one side with a border punch and adhered to card. Added some twine and adhered the whole image panel to the card base. Then added a touch of bling to the pumpkins and berries to make them sparkle, of course, and this Fall beauty is complete and pretty flat for mailing too! *** I'm honored and excited to be one of the *NEW* Design Team Members for Polka Dot Orchard too! Polka Dot Orchard is celebrating our *NEW* Digital Stamp Release and National Coffee Day ☕️ with a huge Blog Hop with the Coffee Loving Paper Crafters with lots of inspiration and Giveaway Prizes too! You should have arrived from the Polka Dot Orchard blog and if you didn't, that's ok, this is a huge craft industry Blog Hop and the fun starts at the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog "here." ☕️ So sit back, relax with your favorite cup of coffee, tea, or drink and get ready for some super sized caffeinated inspiration, prizes, a New Release and more! ☕️ Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the leaves changing colors, pumpkin spice in my coffee, and everything about Halloween! And I knew when I saw these amazing *NEW* digital stamps from Super Sponsor Polka Dot Orchard that I wanted to combine them for this Blog Hop. I started with a 110lb purple cardstock 8.5x11" folded in half and trimmed down to 4 5/8w x 6 1/4L" for my card base. Added a green polka dot pattern paper cut 1/4" smaller around than my card base and adhered to card. Then I cut a piece of black card stock 3 1/8w x 4 5/8L" and trimmed the top and bottom with a spiderweb border punch and adhered to the card panel. Next I combined my digital images and sentiment in WPS Office 2019, sized them, and layered them the way I wanted and printed on white X-Press It cardstock on my HP printer. Cut out the image with a stitched scallop die using a die cutting machine. And did the same with the sentiment with a different stitched die with no scallops, so as not to distract from our fabulous hat and boots image. For today's project I combined Best Witches, Pumpkin Spice Mice (from the *NEW* Release), and a sentiment from Coffee Pumpkin Flourish sets to create this card. Aren't these fabulous!?! I just want to color them all the pretty colors, don't you? You'll be seeing these a lot, as I just LOVE them! And they are designed by my crafty friends, Crystal of Tawny Owl Paperie blog and Jeanie of Washi Horse Designs, as they are super talented designers that you may recognize from our Friends of Unity blog hops we do together every month! Stay tuned... (pssst...we'll be hopping together again this Sat. Oct 5th...hope you're following along) Then colored the images with these alcohol markers colors shown above. ā Once done coloring the image looked a little stark, so I used a blending brush and added some distress oxide ink in blue aroung the edges to make it a little more "spooky" looking. And did the same to the sentiment too. Adhered the main image to the card at an angle so you can see some webs and that slime green background and adhered the sentiment too. Added some bling, of course, to the spiderwebs on the boots and hat with yellow glitter glue and orange gems. Added purple gems across the bottom black spiderwebs and to the letters "i" in the sentiment to finish this spooktacular beauty! Here's another look at this bewitching card all done with digital stamps, so fun to color, and great for many fun occasions! I can't wait to color these in more colors. Stay tuned... I hope I've inspired you to give digital stamps a try, as I'm still learning and we can learn together! Whew! What a month! So many of us crafters just finished up an intense couple weeks of making coffee projects for the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop to enter to win over 85 crafty prizes up for grabs. They only do this twice a year and it’s super HUGE and so much fun! I submitted 8 projects and I recognized several of you on the winners list and I won too! It’s super fun to enter challenges and it’s even more fun to win! Right? Who won and what did you win? Share with us in comments! I love to challenge myself to use different products, different techniques, or just make myself finish a project that same day, which can be a challenge for me sometimes, because I’m easily distracted or I procrastinate. (lol) I have a whole list of challenge sites I like to enter, just click the tab “challenges” at the top of my website and you will see. Some have prizes and others it's just nice to get recognition. Click on the picture and it will take you to their challenge page. I’m always adding new ones, so if you have a favorite challenge site that I don't have listed, just let me know in the comments, and I’ll check it out and get it added. And I hope you give challenges a try too! Most of my coffee projects were added over on my Instagram page, where you can see more inspiration, but this card was one of my favorites. It has my favorite morning drink, plus it got mailed to my daughter last week, so I can finally share it here and do a quick tutorial too! It's a great stamp for many occasions from Mother's Day, Birthdays, Anniversary, Wedding, Graduation, Thank You and more! I started with printing a “free” digital stamp from Super Sponsor Stamplorations on white cardstock from my home printer. Not too thick, because my printer is fussy, it's about 65lb and just a plain ol’ HP laser printer. But I read somewhere to let your images dry/cure overnight before you color them, so the image doesn’t bleed or smear when you color it. So, I printed a bunch of digi’s one day and let them sit for about week, purely by accident. But no smears! I colored my image with just a few alcohol markers (colors listed below) and cut it out with a stitched oval die using a die cutting machine. It was too stark, so I inked the edges with distress ink using a fabulous blending brush and adhered to a hot pink piece of cardstock and set aside. This was a big image and I wanted to use it all. So, I folded a piece of 8.5x11” kraft cardstock in half and trimmed it down to approx. 5.5 x 7" as the finished card base. Adhered a piece of soft green polka dot patterned paper down to the card base. Then adhered the coffee image panel to the green panel. Stamped a sweet sentiment and added three colors of bakers twine to complete this beauty. Isn't she pretty??? I can't wait to try different color combos! I hope I've inspired you to try printing/coloring digital stamps. Some of of my current favorites are Stamplorations, Polka Dot Orchards, and Graciellie Designs! She has digital sets/paper on her site and red rubber stamps sets over on Unity Stamps site. Go check them out! Some good deals are happening this holiday weekend too! Thanks for stopping by! And remember this 3-day weekend is great, but we're "thinking of you" and remembering those service men and women who served and died for our freedom. Have a safe and wonderful Holiday weekend! ~Kim & family Challenges:
