I promised I'd show you the NFL Denver Broncos Birthday card for a super bowl birthday party this weekend. It turned out really good. I surprised myself and had the right orange and blue Bazzill cardstock. LOL. Here are some of the tools I used: Xyron sticker maker for the navy Pebbles ribbon, spellbinders label frames, stampin up ink, Ranger distress ink, eyelets and the crop-a-dile (LOVE this tool), versamark ink, and chestnut brown zing embossing powder for the "happy birthdays" on the front. Go Broncos!

Don't hate me...this is my view. I get inspired every time I look at the mountains. I just love the trees all fluffy with snow, the sun is shining, and not a cloud in the sky. Gorgeous! I just want to stay in my pj's, craft, and make hot chocolate. I'm working on a NFL Bronco birthday card today for one of the grandma's turning 70yrs young this weekend. It's turning out pretty good. I'll post it when I'm done...later today. There is another snow storm coming in tonight, so where ever you are....stay safe and warm! Follow my blog and many other creative people at Bloglovin.com
Spider man card: I used the a spider web dry embossing folder. Inked up a brayer with black ink and rolled it over the web. I die cutted two hearts to make the eyes. One heart on black cardstock at 3 1/2" and the other heart on white cardstock at 3" and cut them in half. I wanted to add some glitter, but my husband didn't think boys cards needed to have bling. LOL...I think a little on the web would have been cool, but I think it turned out pretty good. Captain America card: I used the star dry embossing folder for the background. Then I used the spellbinders circle frame set to get all the layers correct. The shield looks a little wonky or not centered because I made it 3D with foam pop dots between the circles and it wouldn't scan evenly. But it is evenly spaced in person and turned out pretty well. Valentines Day is just around the corner...here are just a few Valentines Collections I found that I really like. I do make Valentines Day cards for my husband and kids every year along with a little treat. Sometimes, if I have time, I make cards for my parents, sisters, and kids at school too. I just love the pink, red, and black and all the hearts.
My twins turn 11yrs old this Friday, so I've been busy making them birthday cards and planning their party. One of the grandma's turns 70yrs old on Feb 1st and she's so excited the NFL Denver Bronco's are in the Super Bowl this year. They are her favorite team. So, she's having a Super Bowl birthday party, but I have another birthday card to make. I refuse to give Hallmark any of my money. I haven't bought a card in over 10yrs and I"m not about to start now! I'm still thinking about Valentines Day and have bought some new collections, but haven't started those cards yet. I need to start soon, as my daughters birthday is in March and my oldest son and husband have birthdays in April. Then it's Mothers's Day, Father's Day, my Anniversary, etc...it just snowballs from here. This is why I need to get organized, clean my craft room, so I can find everything and get started. That is my goal today...to just get started. How about you?
Well...we are 17 days into the new year and it couldn't be better. I'm not one to make resolutions and when I did, I usually forgot them. Well...this year I made some goals, instead of resolutions. And I'm going after them and my dreams are in the process of coming true. Closer than they ever have before. So, don't give up, always try, and as my mother would say, "just go for it!" I will keep you posted when my dreams officially come true. What are you making this weekend? We send thank you notes for all our gifts we receive all year long. I think it's important to keep the written word alive and keep our USPS in business. I love getting actual, real mail. Don't you? So, I've got thank you cards from Christmas presents to make. I think I might dust off my Cricut and play with that. My twin boys turn 11yrs old next week, so I've got some birthday cards to make. They are pretty different personalities and have different interests, so I can't make the same card in different colors...again (LOL because I have done that when they were younger). I'm always looking ahead and I've got Valentine's on the brain too. I've been on Pinterest gathering ideas and have seen some really neat designs. TGIF and may you too have a krafty weekend. Ideas to get organized this new year...ribbon storage, stamp storage, stickles/glitter glue storeage, scrap paper storage, embellishment storage, and storage for border punches and more.
