Before we get started... Be sure to check our ==> May Blog Hop for some masculine inspiration if you need any Fathers Day ideas. And to see if you are one of our many Winners and claim your prize! Our winner here at āMy Kraft Kloset for May 2024 is... "M.M." āāCongratulations!!! āāāā*** Update on our home renovation: What a crazy busy May I've had! My BBW store at work packed up and moved down the road to a beautiful store front after being in the mall since 1997! Then we unpacked to make it pretty for our grand opening May 10th. And for the last 3yrs we've been renovating another house just 5min down the road to downsize a bit, as our kids are grown. My husband has the new kitchen done just enough so we can finally MOVE in! We've had some set backs in those 3yrs, but it's coming together, and the last 2 weeks I've been packing like mad woman. As of yesterday, we are MOVED in and our current house goes up for sale on Monday! I'm SO excited! I'll share pictures when I'm unpacked and my new craft room too! ā āAnyhoo... back to todays projectsāā āMy New Years Resolution is in it's 3rd year of using only "new to me" Unity stamps in my ā'Friends of Unity' projects every month. ā Here's what I came up with...ā This time of year when I think of celebrations I lean towards my anniversary, birthdays, or summer parties. I combined some of my favorite things like patterns, ācolor and some sparkle!ā As I'm still using a limited amount of supplies, because now ALL my craft supplies are packed up! Which drives me only slightly crazy (lol).
āCard #1: Relax Revive Refresh
āThis month my husband and I celebrate our 28th Anniversary which inspired me to make this coffee card, because almost every morning we start our day with "coffee time" together. I started with stamping this new grunge ledger background stamp on hardwood floors pattern paper and stamped "caffeinated love" sentiments three times. Next I stamped the coffee cup and the "relax refresh revive," "be happy," and "mug of hugs" sentiments and inked up the edges, but didn't color anything. Adhered both panels to a beige plaid pattern paper and adhered to a black card base. Added some twine for a vintage look. I like the vintage look and the earthy wood tones of the pattern paper. And these stamp sets are great for all kinds of occasions.
āāSupplies I used: Unity Jolandeās Ledger stamp set; Unity Love to Go stamp set (caffeinated love sentiment); Unity Revive stamp set; Unity Mug of Hugs stamp set (sentiment); Unity Farmhouse Plaid pattern paper pack; Unity Rustic Wood pattern paper pack; MISTI stamping tool; Quick Quotes Powder Puff chalk ink-Coal Miner and Kokomo; Papertrey Ink cardstock in white and black; American Crafts natural twine; and Scor-Tape/Scor-Pal double sided tear tape from ScrapbookPalā.
Card #2: Washi This Love āI have a fairly large Unity Itty Bitty stamp collection and I'm trying to use them up. And I came across this "washi tape" kind of stamp set and thought it would be fun to create a wonky birthday cake card. I stamped the three washi stamps in different chalk ink colors to make them "pop" and adhered to pattern paper. I drew a basic cake stand by hand on the bottom, added some stickles glitter glue to the candles, adhered the image to a pink pattern paper for a border. And then adhered the panel to the flag pattern paper, and then adhere the whole panel to a black card base. Added some pink enamel dots to complete this fun "no coloring" card. Such a fun stamp set for so many occasions like graduation, birthday, or thinking of you.
āāSupplies I used: Unity Washi This Love stamp set; Unity Java Friend stamp set (sentiment); The Stamps of Life-Believe Collection pattern paper pad; MISTI stamping tool; Colorbox chalk inks: Rosebud, Lipstick Red, and Violet; Papertrey Ink cardstock in white; Ranger Stickles glitter glue-Icicle; Pink enamel dots; and Scor-Tape/Scor-Pal double sided tear tape from ScrapbookPalā.
Card #3: Party Party Party I created a card with Summer parties in mind using these fun itty bitty stamps: 3 stick chicks stamp set and party party party. These chicks remind me of going out and having fun with your gal pals. I started with a turquoise card stock base and adhered this dark pink strip. Then got out a piece of white card stock and stamped the sentiment "party" three times in a row using Coal Miner chalk ink. And then stamped the girls in the same ink. I used my fine tip markers to carefully color the sentiment and the girls, as to not smear the ink. Then I carefully colored their faces with "skin color" copic marker. I adhered the white panel to the card base. And fussy cut out a flag banner from a scrap piece leftover from card #2 and adhered to the panel. And added pink enamel dots to complete this fun card. It's a fun stamp set for many occasions like a Summer party, birthday, or just thinking of you card.
āāSupplies I used: Unity 3 Stick Chicks stamp set; Unity Party Party Party stamp set (sentiment); The Stamps of Life-Believe Collection pattern paper pad; MISTI stamping tool; Quick Quotes Powder Puff chalk ink-Coal Miner; Papertrey Ink cardstock in white; American Crafts Fine Tip Markers; Copic Marker āskin;ā Pink enamel dots; and Scor-Tape/Scor-Pal double sided tear tape from ScrapbookPalā.

Our winner here at āMy Kraft Kloset, for Apil 2024 is... "Jennifer S." āāCongratulations!!! āāāā*** Update on our home renovation: The contractor we hired last month has failed for the 4th and final time, but he graciously gave us a refund. The issue is the cement like product is fluid and unpredictable. Which has been very frustrating, because when it dries it has to be smooth and flat for the type of flooring we're putting down in the kitchen. SO now my husband has to do it himself and hopefully we can move in this month. < fingers crossed > ā āMeanwhile... I've kept busyāā āwith my "New Years Resolution" in it's 3rd year of using only "new to me" not used Unity stamps in my ā'Friends of Unity' projects every month. ā Here's what I came up with...ā Even though Father's Day is June 19th, I went another direction for our masculine theme this month. I combined some of my favorite things like humor, pattern paper, ācolor and twine!ā āā
Card #1: Till We Meat Again
āI make A LOT of masculine cards throughout the year and Unity has some funny "punny" ones that I found in my stash! Like this "Itty Bitty" stamp set that reminded me of Summer barbeques with friends and family and red gingham table cloths on all the tables. āI kept this card pretty simple with NO coloring, as most of my supplies are still packed. This set is so fun for many occasions like a Summer BBQ invitation, or a fun Summer birthday, or a "thinking of you" card that is flat for mailing.
āāSupplies I used: Unity Meat Again stamp set; Unity Rainbow Alcohol Ink Papers pattern paper pack; Unity Farmhouse Plaid pattern paper pack; MISTI stamping tool; Quick Quotes Powder Puff chalk ink-Coal Miner; Papertrey Ink cardstock in black and white; American Crafts red twine; and Scor-Tape/Scor-Pal double sided tear tape from ScrapbookPalā.
Card #2: Wheely Fun Birthday
Here is another fun "Itty Bitty" stamp set that is great for a birthday. I kept this one pretty easy, clean and simple (CAS), which is really hard for me to leave all this white space (lol). As I love color, patterns, layers, and all the things. But I did do a little coloring with colored pencils on the vehicles. Added some ink around the panel edges, add bit of pattern paper, and kept it flat for mailing too!
āāSupplies I used: Unity Wheely Fun stamp set; Unity Farmhouse Plaid pattern paper pack; MISTI stamping tool; Quick Quotes Powder Puff chalk ink-Coal Miner; Colored Pencils (waxy kind-CrazArt); Papertrey Ink white cardstock; American Crafts think black satin ribbon and red twine; and Scor-Tape/Scor-Pal double sided tear tape from ScrapbookPalā.
Here is a close up of both "Masculine" cards...

Because the cement like product is fluid until it dries. Which has been frustrating, because the floor has to be smooth and flat for the type of flooring we're using and it hasn't been drying smooth or flat. But luckily, he's determined to fix it today. (fingers crossed this is it!) Then it should be ready for cabinets and flooring next week and we can finally move in this month. We're SO SO close! ā(YAY!--fingers crossed) Thank you SO for your prayers, kindness, and support during this 3 YEAR project!!! Yes, it has been that long! ā << Anyhoo... back to todays projects >>āā āI don't usually make resolutions, but I've got an āon going "New Years Resolution" in it's 3rd year now of using only ā"new to me" not used Unity stamps in my 'Friends of Unity' projects every month. Because those darn good sales get me EVERY time (lol) and my stash just keeps growing! Here's what I came up with...ā Using limited supplies (because I'm mostly packed up for our move) I combined some of my favorite things like pattern paper, color, ālayers and of course some bling too!ā ā
Card #1: You are TEA-riffic
Mothers Day is Sunday May 12th and Unity has some great stamps for those special ladies in your life that I'm sure you'd like to show your love and appreciation. And we have lots of inspiration for you. One special lady in my life is an avid tea drinker and I thought this stamp set was perfect for her. I stamped on this soft pink pattern paper from Unity and I surrounded it with the rectangle scalloped border stamp set that is perfect if you are not a die cutting crafter or want a matching border. And it's one of my favorites. Then I layered the image with a darker pink cardstock, then a dark brown cardstock, and adhered it to a white card base. Did a little coloring, added some pearls for a touch of elegant bling, and added a pink bow from a Unity gift bag to complete. āIt's Tea-time! Great for many occasions.
Supplies I used: Unity Tea Love stamp set; Unity Rectangle Scalloped border stamp; Unity Enveloped In Love pattern paper pack; MISTI stamping tool; Quick Quotes Powder Puff chalk ink-Kokomo; Papertrey Ink cardstock in dark pink, dark chocolate and white; American Crafts Fine Tip Markers; Kat Scrappiness snow pearls; and Scor-Tape/Scor-Pal double sided tear tape from ScrapbookPalā.

Card #2:
A Life That Touches Others Goes On Forever Shhhhhhhhhhh.... Don't tell anyone, but this card is for my Mom. And I'm going to apologize upfront, because this tree stamp has been discontinued. I know and I feel terrible and I had no idea until I went looking for it online and couldn't find it. But I could swear there is a version of this tree stamp in an older membership kit, but I couldn't find that either. So look in your stash you may have it. If you do, let me know and I'll add the kit name here for everyone to see too. āAgain, I am so sorry, but I had to share this card anyways, because I didn't have time to make anything else. But I did include some amazing tree stamp substitutes below that are currently available at Unity. And I used a couple other stamps that are "new to me" on this card too!
Supplies I used: Unity Dream Tree stamp set (sorry discontinued, see alternatives below); Unity Thoughts From The Past stamp set (background); Unity Life Touches stamp set (sentiment); Unity Enveloped In Love pattern paper pack (strip on left side); MISTI stamping tool; Quick Quotes Powder Puff chalk ink-Kokomo; Papertrey Ink cardstock in ivory and white; American Crafts pastel green cardstock; Stampin Up decorative Label Punch (or EK Success has one too); Kat Scrappiness snow pearls; and Scor-Tape/Scor-Pal double sided tear tape from ScrapbookPalā.
I did find out from Kelli, at Unity, that this tree is one of the original "Dream Tree" stamps that was mounted on maple wood and turned into it's own red rubber kit. And I treasure it because it used to belong to my younger sister, who some of you know, passed away from breast cancer in 2017.
I inherited some of her craft supplies and I try to incorporate some of her supplies in a lot of my projects to keep her memory alive, spread breast cancer awareness, and to feel closer to her. And while packing I came across this stamp and I've been wanting to use for a long time. It reminded me of a family tree and I know my mom will appreciate knowing it used to belong to Karla. This card is quite symbolic. āāHover over the process pictures below for more details.
Unity has many amazing pattern paper packs that are on sale this weekend. I love to mix and match themes and I chose this soft muted "Enveloped in Love" pack as my background, cut a 1" strip, and adhered it along the left side of a white card base. And adhered a soft pastel green cardstock next to the pattern strip.
Next I randomly stamped the "thoughts of the past" in brown chalk ink because it looked like an old postcard on ivory cardstock and then the tree in brown chalk ink for a vintage mixed media type look. I roughed up the edges and inked them in brown to make it look aged. And adhered to the card. Then I stamped the sentiment in brown ink on the same pastel green cardstock as the background, paper punched it, cut it down to fit in the corner and adhered to the card. Next I adhered this lovely butterfly with a white bow I got in a gift bag from Unity in the center of the tree. Because butterflies are symbolic of rebirth. And then I added some pearls for bling and to represent us family members. A great card for many occasions and no coloring. ā Below are some amazing substitute tree stamps that would work tooā

āāāOur theme for March is... Found in Nature
āOH! The many thoughts and possibilities!ā What does found in nature mean to you? To me, this time of year in the South everything is preparing to bloom soon. I am inspired by the colors, all the greenery and flowers around me, and the peace I find walking or driving around in nature that soothes my soul.

As some of you know my āon going "New Years Resolution" is on it's 3rd year of using only "new to me" not used Unity stamps in my
'Friends of Unity' projects every month. Because those darn good sales get me EVERY time (lol)! Check out the Unity Leap Year Sale... you're welcome! Using limited supplies (because I am packed up for our move) I am combining some of my favorite things like pretty pattern papers, flowers, coloring, and some sparkle too! House update: We had to go through another contractor on our kitchen remodel and got the kitchen floor grinded and re-poured (again) and it should be ready for cabinets this weekend or next week and hopefully we can move in sometime this month. ā(YAY!--fingers crossed) We're SO close! āHere's what I came up with...ā ā
āCard #1: Simply Sunflowers
Spring has sprung and I'm inspired by the budding flowers in the South and the bright colors in this amazing alcohol inks paper pack really spoke to me SO much that I used it on all three cards today. I just LOVE it! And I love making my own background paper, but this pack is stunning. āThe yellow pattern paper goes perfect with this fabulous sunflower background stamp and looks like I water colored it. I kept it simple and fairly flat for mailing and let the paper be the color and added some sparkle in the centers of the flowers.
Supplies I used: Unity Rainbow Alcohol Ink Papers Pack (yellow background pattern paper); Unity Simply Sunflowers (border backgrounds) stamp set; Unity Many Happy Birdies (sentiment); MISTI stamping tool; Quick Quotes Powder Puff chalk ink-Kokomo; Papertrey Ink cardstock-dark chocolate and summer sunrise; Ranger Ink Stickles (glitter glue)-Cinnamon (center of flowers); and Scor-Tape/Scor-Pal double sided tear tape from ScrapbookPalā.
āHover over the process pictures below for more details.
āCard #2: Wildflower Critters
The blue pattern paper reminds me of the big blue skies of Colorado, in the mountains with wildflowers for miles that goes perfect with this darling stamp set. Can you see the hidden critters hiding in the flowers? They are so cute. I kept this one simple for mailing too, colored with fine tip markers, and colored pencils. And added some sparkle in the center of a few of the flowers, the bee, and the butterflies.
Supplies I used: Unity Rainbow Alcohol Ink Papers Pack (blue background pattern paper); Unity Wildflower Critter stamp and sentiment set; MISTI stamping tool; Quick Quotes Powder Puff chalk ink-Coal Miner; American Crafts Fine Tip Markers; waxy-CrazArt Colored Pencils; Papertrey Ink cardstock-blueberry sky and spring rain; Ranger Ink Stickles (glitter glue)-Icicle (center of flowers, bee, and butterflies); and Scor-Tape/Scor-Pal double sided tear tape from ScrapbookPalā.
Hover over the process pictures below for more details.
āCard #3: Luck To Go
These green pattern papers reminded me of hunting for four leaf clovers in clover patches when I was a kid. And how lucky I felt when I found one. Did you ever do that? I know a coffee cup may not necessarily be found in nature (unless it's trash unfortunately), but sometimes I'm "found in nature" with my coffee on a drive or a walk surrounded by amazing greenery in the South. This too is a simple card for mailing that I colored a few clovers with fine tip markers, fussy cut a large clover I stamped on the darker pattern paper and added some sparkle in the center of a few clovers.
Supplies I used: Unity Rainbow Alcohol Ink Papers Pack (green background pattern papers); Unity Luck To Go stamp and sentiment set; MISTI stamping tool; Quick Quotes Powder Puff chalk ink-Coal Miner; American Crafts Fine Tip Markers; Ranger Ink Stickles (glitter glue)-Icicle (center of flowers, bee, and butterflies); and Scor-Tape/Scor-Pal double sided tear tape from ScrapbookPalā.

Here is what I found in nature that inspired me...

My ā"New Years Resolution" is going on for my 3rd year of using only "new to me" not used Unity stamps in my 'Friends of Unity' projects every month. Because like some of you (lol), I too have a Unity Stamp obsession and have a lot of stamps to ink up. But those darn good sales get me EVERY time too (lol)! Every month I like to combined some of my favorite things like pretty pattern papers, coloring, Angiegirls, and some sparkle too! ā āHere's what I came up with...ā ā
āāTodays Card: You are so Winederful
Last month I was working on birthday cards for my 3 sons and this month I designed my daughters birthday card. I just LOVE Angiegirls and almost always color them to look like my daughter. And this one is perfect for her as she often has her hair in a bun like this, loves wine, and got married at a vineyard a year ago too! And I have not used this stamp set yet. Yay!
āSupplies I used: Unity Stamp Co Products: Planner Gal: Winederful stamp, Unity Paper Pad-Pink & Blue Watercolored, and manila mini tag; MISTI stamping tool; Quick Quotes Powder Puff chalk ink-Kokomo; Spectrum Noir and Copic alcohol markers; Colored Pencils (waxy-CrazArt (lol); Papertrey Ink cardstock-black card base, green, and blue; Ranger Ink Stickles (glitter glue)-Icicle (on bracelet and rose); Teresa Collins vintage ribbon; American Crafts Bakers Twine; and Scor-Tape/Scor-Pal double sided tear tape from ScrapbookPalā
We haven't moved yet, but we're ok. As soon as I have a working or functioning kitchen we will be on our way. Until then... most of my supplies are still boxed up, but I opened one box last month and got out my alcohol markers to use on this girl, but because I used chalk ink to stamp her it just smeared the image too much.
TIP: use Ranger archival ink, VersaClair ink or Gina K Amalgam (are my favorite inks) to use with alcohol markers or water coloring, because they don't smear. So, I stamped her again on a tag... as I can't find ANY of my favorite inks, and I only had chalk ink, which dries quickly, but smears with alcohol markers or water. I also found colored pencils in the box that are not watercolor pencils, but are kind of waxy. I didn't have any pencils that would work for her skin tone, besides barbie pink, and that would have looked ridiculous (lol). I managed to lightly color her skin with a Copic Marker, ever so carefully as not to touch any of the lines or it would have smeared again. I know "I'm crazy" (lol), but I think she turned out pretty good. Great for a birthday, Galentines Day (Feb 13 to celebrate friendship), Mothers Day & more! What do you think? Our theme for January is Laughter, Giggles & Smiles
Happy New Year! I hope your holidays were filled with fun and laughter, as mine were. Because life is too short not to enjoy every minute. So this theme is perfect to create with things that make us laugh. I also decided to keep my ā"New Years Resolution" going a 3rd year to use "new to me" not used Unity stamps every month this year too! Because like some of you, I have a bunch I haven't used yet and of course, I couldn't help myself and bought more amazing stamps during their awesome holiday sales! Today I combined some of my favorite things like pattern papers, coloring, snowmen, funny sentiments, and some sparkle, of course! āHere's what I came up with...ā ā
āCard #1: Damn...You're Oldāāāā!!
OH! Damn... my twin sons turn 21 years old this month! I blinked and how did that happen? (lol) This stamp set was perfect for making a couple of birthday cards for them and they will get a giggle out of that sentiment and ALL those candles! I made these gate fold cards by combining coordinating pattern papers, dug out my alcohol markers from a packed box (because I missed them and haven't moved or unpacked yet, but soon) and did a little coloring. I kept them pretty flat for mailing, but added a touch of bling to make those candles sparkle A LOT, cuz they are OLD now! (lol) And now that I have found this set, I will reuse it again for many occasions. It's so fun!
Supplies I used: Unity Stamp Co Products: Damnā¦ Youāre Old!! stamp set, Circle Scalloped (border stamps), and Unity Paper Pad-Romantic Expressions; MISTI stamping tool; Quick Quotes Powder Puff chalk ink-Coal Miner; Spectrum Noir and Copic alcohol markers; Papertrey Ink cardstock-white; Ranger Ink Stickles (glitter glue)-Icicle; and Scor-Tape/Scor-Pal double sided tear tape from ScrapbookPalā
āāāCard #2: Winter Shake Up
I love snow globes and just got this amazing stamp set and I wanted to make something with the snowman. But how to make it funny? It got me thinking... I have 4 kids and they are each kind, unique, different, and funny people. So I stamped 4 snowman, making one funny, but upside down, and colored them in my kids favorite colors. I stamped some snow banks and snow flakes from the same stamp set and added some sparkle. And I found this funny sentiment in another kit that just made me giggle at this whole card remembering the kids playing on snowy days. Oh what fun! This is another stamp set I will use again for birthdays and Christmas too!
Supplies I used: Unity Stamp Co Products: Winter Shake Up stamp set (snowman, snowflakes, and snow bank squiggle stamps) and Hugs, Kisses & Birthday Wishes set (sentiment); MISTI stamping tool; Quick Quotes Powder Puff chalk ink-Coal Miner and Seabrook; Spectrum Noir and Copic alcohol markers; Papertrey Ink cardstock-white; KS Spectrum of Love paper pad; Ranger Ink Stickles (glitter glue)-Icicle; and Scor-Tape/Scor-Pal double sided tear tape from ScrapbookPalā.
āHere are both cards again...āāāā

Our theme for December is: Furry Friends
While everyone's busy with holiday or winter cards, I took a break and went the opposite. I don't have many "pet" type stamps, but I do have other "animal" stamps that could be pets. āAs I'm completing my ā"New Years Resolution" to use "new to me" not used Unity stamps every month this year, along with some of my favorite things. Like using pretty papers, playing with watercolor pencils, creating my āown backgrounds, and bling! āHere's what I came up with...ā ā
Card #1: Lil Wee Bunnyāāāā
My daughter and son-in-law have the funniest bunny and dog (as pictured here). They crack me up! And I have a few friends who have bunnies as pets too. I dug in my stamp collection and found this stamp set and bunnies are furry, and I combined pretty papers and minimal coloring, and a touch of bling. This card would be sweet for a Birthday, Valentines, Anniversary, or any lovey dovey occasion.
Supplies I used: Unity Stamp Co Products: Lil Wee Bunny stamp set (and sentiment) and Unity Paper Pad-Enveloped in Love; Quick Quotes Powder Puff chalk ink-Kokomo (bunny and sentiment); watercolor Colored Pencils (Prisma or crayola work too) with a little water and a q-tip for blendingg; Marvy Uchida large tag punch; Papertrey Ink cardstock-white, black, and pink; Ranger Ink Stickles (glitter glue)-Clear Rock Candy, Fruit Punch, and Gold; KS adhesive pink enamel dots; and Scor-Tape/Scor-Pal double sided tear tape from ScrapbookPalā
Card #1: Pretty As A Peacock
I hadn't used this stamp set either and it's so pretty for any occasion, but it made me laugh remembering my little kids years ago shouting "come back here pea hocks" at the zoo, because they couldn't say it correctly (lol). You may recognize this background from last months cards and I had one piece leftover and thought the peacock feathers would look great on this background. Did a little coloring on the feathers with colored pencils and added some sparkle.
Supplies I used: Unity Stamp Company Pretty As A Peacock stamp set (and sentiment); Color Burst powder inks by Ken Oliver/Ranger Inks (background tutorial on Nov 2023 blog hop post or link on first picture); Quick Quotes Powder Puff chalk ink-Coal Miner (stamp and sentiment); Prisma or crayola Colored Pencils; Papertrey Ink cardstock-white, black, turquoise, and coral; and Scor-Tape/Scor-Pal double sided tear tape from ScrapbookPalā
āHere are both cards again...āāāā

And it's Brown Thursday (month) and that is Unity's BIGGEST SALE of the year! (link below) Grab a cuppa your favorite liquid, cozy up to follow along, hop with us, & shop. ā āā*** Before I get started... Update on my life: As some of you may know, my hubby and I have been renovating a house for over 2yrs and have had many many set backs. And right now the kitchen is the pain in our butts and has us at a stand still until some things get fixed. Then the cabinets and floors can be installed. And once I have a working kitchen we can move in, hopefully by Christmas, but I don't know, things seem to move slower in the South. I thank you for your kind thoughts, prayers, & support during this transition. While my craft supplies have been packed up between here and there since July. Which is why you haven't seen me around the craft world much. But I got restless and found some supplies and got creative so I could share and hop this month. Be sure to check our ==> Previous Blog Hops to see if you are one āof our ā many Winners and claim your prize!!! Our last Winner here at āMy Kraft Kloset, was for June 2023 is... "Dorothy G." āāCongratulations!!! āāā*** āāOur theme for November is... Slimline If you don't know what that means, they are a long thin type of card, which gives you lots of space to create upon. They are about 8-1/2" x 3-1/2" or 4"x9" or a combination that would fit into a #10 business envelope, which is 4 1/8ā³ x 9 1/2ā³ ā and uses ā(1) first class stamp (Really! if it's flat and not bulky).
Card #1: Blessings of Fall
āAs I mentioned above, most of my craft supplies are packed up. So I was limited on what was still around me, but I found these amazing Color Burst powder inks by Ken Oliver, some chalk ink pads, and not all my stamps are boxed up. Yay! āI started with an 8.5"x11" piece of white cardstock to create the background and cut it into several pieces to make a few cards out of one sheet to send out for Thanksgiving. āTry not to laugh to much on this next part, but us crafters are very creative when we are determined (lol). And I could not find any water spray bottles or a mister anywhere, so I improvised with one of my B&BW scented body spray mists (lol). Which worked, BUT the scent was SOOO strong it made us retreat from our house for 2-3 days until it aired out (lol). My hubby was NOT amused (lol). So I recommend using an unscented water spray bottle, do NOT do what I did. -- it was quite perfumey! (lol)
I will tell you if you use a water spray bottle, the colors will spread better and the panel will take longer to dry. āNext I inked up this "new to me" amazing large fall border stamp in a brown chalk ink, placed the stamp gently onto the cardstock panel, and pressed it down evenly. I did this twice on each end of the cardstock panel, with a slight overlap in the middle, but that will be covered up by the sentiment. I didn't use a stamping tool, because my large MISTI was boxed up, but this stamp is easy to manage by itself.
ā Click on the photos below for more details... Card #2: Gratitude I did the same process on this card as my first card, except I changed the border stamp, which I have used before, but gosh, it's one of my favorites, and I just love it not colored or colored. It's just amazing. And I changed the card base to a brown cardstock, the ribbon, and the sentiment cardstock colors too.
āClick on the photos below for more details...
āHere they are side by side... do you have a favorite?
Supplies:
Unity Stamps: Blessings of Fall stamp set (sentiment) and Frondescence stamp set Color Burst powder inks by Ken Oliver/Ranger Inks Ranger Inks Liquid Pearls-yellow and copper Quick Quotes Powder Puff chalk inks-Kokomo (stamp border) and Coal Miner (sentiment) Papertrey Ink white, rust, orange, and brown cardstock Crinkle ribbon and AC satin ribbon; I recommend a water spray bottle Scor-Tape/Scor-Pal double sided tear tape from ScrapbookPalā

Todays Project: Let our lives be full of Thanks and Giving I knew I wanted to make a fall card, but this color palette made it very challenging for me. And I love that. So, I really had to think outside the box. As some of you know, my hubby and I have been renovating a house for 2yrs and we've had many set backs, so we haven't fully moved in yet. And most of my craft supplies have been packed up. So, I was again challenged to use what I had around me that wasn't already boxed up or over at the new house. Surprisingly I found these amazing Color Burst powders by Ken Oliver, just added spray water to create this fun background using most of the color palette. And I found some chalk ink pads with a rust like ink pad I used for the leaf stamp 'Full of Fall', stitching stamp, the sentiment, and inked the edges of the panel. I found a rust colored cardstock for the card base, added some fun pattern paper scraps in the color palette too and put it all together. What do you think? Needs some bling, right? If you know me, then you know I love sparkle and bling too. And I found these liquid pearls in yellow and a copper rust color to finish this fun challenge card with some pearly dots. What do you all think? Did I capture ALL the colors in this weeks challenge? Now it's your turn... I'm looking forward to seeing what you create. Come join us! I love cruising along the river at sunset or anywhere near water, on a winding road, or late at night downtown with all the city lights and no traffic. I combined "A Walk in the Woods" designed by the talented Angie Blom for Unity and "Authentic Man" stamp sets so great for Father's Day, Birthday, Anniversary, or any occasion. ā I used some of my favorite things like ink smooshing (again, I can't help it, it's amazing for backgrounds), classic cars, sports cars, convertibles, and my glitter pen on the chrome to make it sparkle. This scene reminds me of cruising through the woods on a winding road not far from my house. āA cool breeze, wind in my hair, my favorite tunes playing, and the scent of nature that soothes my soul. Here are a few of my favorites: Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, The Giant Forest/Kings Canyon, Redwood Forest, and Alaska. Where was your favorite road trip destination? I kept this card simple using just the "Happy Little Abode" stamp set by Lisa Glanz for Unity to create this cute little RV card scene. ā āIt's so fun for many occasions. I used some of my favorite things like: Spectrum Noir alcohol markers to give it a vintage look, pattern paper (of course, again), and Goosebumps clear texture spray on the windows. It's a cool effect!
Supplies:

And Magnuson Custom Stamps helped me design my custom butterfly logo (Thank you Nic & Angie Blom) Other supplies: MISTI stamping tool; Ranger Ink Archival Ink-black; Spectrum Noir alcohol markers; Goosebumps clear texture spray (on Amazon) or Glossy Accents will work too; Doodlebug pattern paper; Papertrey Ink 110lb white Cardstock (image panel and card base not shown); and Scor-Pal - Scor-Tape 1/2" (tear tape adhesive) ā Supplies I used are available below, with some affiliate links. So I made my card look like an Arnold Palmer southern drink, which is half tea and half lemonade. And if you know me, I like a splash of vodka in mine. (lol). What's your favorite beverage? I used the "Happiness is Homemade" stamp set by the amazing Graciellie Design for Unity to create this fun card. āIt's so great for many occasions. Hi everybody and welcome to my Blog! I'm Kim Klinkovsky and Iām from Colorado, but have spent the last 6yrs in Northern Alabama along the beautiful Tennessee river with my husband. We have one daughter who got married last fall to a wonderful Navy man, and three grown sons, including a set of twins. Weāre recently empty nesters, with kids in different states, so weāre figuring all that out. We have been renovating a house for the last 2yrs and are SO excited to finally move into it next month. Yay!!! And I'll be sure to share a video or pictures of my new craft room. I can't wait!
By day or night Iām a part time retail manager at a B&BW store and I love it. And in my spare time Iām a published card maker, Blogger, an occasional scrapbooker and jewelry maker. āIāve been crafty all my life, but I love learning new techniques, using different mediums, and the instant gratification I get from cardmaking. āI found Unity in 2010 in a store that I managed and fell in love with their beautiful stamps. I joined their FB group and have made some wonderful crafty friendships over the years, which has allowed me to be on a few amazing design teams, including the Friends of Unity, which creates a blog hop every month. I love the kind and supportive craft community Unity has created who inspire me everyday.ā Iām honored to be chosen as the Growing in Unity Girl for this week and to share some of my favorite things with you all.

Masculine Which can be really hard. Luckily I make masculine cards all the time, but I get stumped for ideas too! āWhere do you look for masculine inspiration? āI turn to craft blogs, pinterest, facebook, and instagram.
It's the 6th month and I'm still continuing with my
ā"New Years Resolution" to use "new to me" Unity stamps every month this year, along with some of my favorite things. Like heat embossing, ink smooshing, and simple coloring.āā ā So I am sharing birthday cards I made for my 3 sons this year. āā
Birthday Card for Son #1:
āAs I mentioned, I have 3 grown sons and I make lots of masculine cards. And I won't lie... they are challenging. But I found using a sketch and patterned paper helps a lot to ground a focal point. As I did here for my oldest son who loves red and black. And this was fun to put together with minimal supplies, scraps, & flat for mailing.ā
Supplies: Unity Many More Birthdays stamp set and coordinating die (temporarily out of stock) and Scallops & Circles nesting dies; Big Shot die cutting machine; Ranger Distress Oxide Ink-candied apple; Ranger clear heat embossing powder; Marvy Uchida heat tool; MISTI stamping tool; Papertrey Ink black and white cardstock; BoBunny Double Dot pattern paper; MME scrap pattern paper; and Scor-tape by Scor-Pal double sided tape.
āBirthday Card for Son #2: āI love using background stamps and the ink smooshing technique to ground my focal point, which I created with several stamps. My second son loves video games and orange, which is funny, because after all the colors I used to ink smoosh this background, I ended up with mostly orange (lol). I heat embossed all the stamps, used simple coloring, and some extra sparkle on the balloon. And kept it fairly flat for mailing. ā
Supplies: Unity Extended Celebration (front and center stamps), Brutus Monroe/Unity Vintage Burlap (background stamp), Unity Everything wonderful (inside sentiment) and Unity Orange Cardstock; Versafine Clair-Nocturne black ink; Ranger Ink fine detail black and carnation red heat embossing powder; Versamarker clear embossing pen (red balloon inside); Marvy Uchida heat tool; AC Fine Detail Pens; Ranger Ink/Tim Holtz Watercolor white cardstock; Ranger Ink Distress Oxide Ink colors: ROYGBVB; MISTI stamping tool; Papertrey white cardstock for card base; and Scor-Tape/Scor-Pal double sided tear tape
āBirthday Card for Son #3: āMy third son loves his 20yr old red BMW that he is constantly fixing and reengineering to go faster. And I just so happened to have had a scrap piece of this fun vehicle background stamp. I did some simple coloring on the red sports car and added some bling to make it sparkle too and matched it to this fun Unity patterned paper of xoxo's, which is part of my signature when messaging my kids and it fit this card perfectly.
Supplies: Unity Vroom (background stamp), Unity Everything wonderful (inside sentiment), and Unity Enveloped in Love (paper pack); MISTI stamping Tool; Versafine Clair-Nocturne black ink; Ranger Distress Oxide Ink-candied apple; Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and clear sparkle pen; Papertrey Ink black and white cardstock; and Scor-Tape/Scor-Pal double sided tear tape
āAnd here are all the cards & techniques again.

SO many thing, but I narrowed it down to these: Artists Color Nature Techniques āā
āIt's a new month and I'm continuing with my
ā"New Years Resolution" to use only "new to me" Unity stamps every month this year, along with some of my favorite things. So what inspires me? I am inspired every month by all the fabulous ladies in this hop, so be sure to follow them too! I love the whole rainbow of colors, techniques, and ā āthings found in nature.āā ā Here's what I came up with...ā ā
Card #1: Beautiful Butterflies
āI had this beautiful butterfly set on my desk from last months theme, but I didn't get around to using it. So I thought it would be fun to show you three different techniques using the same set. The first technique I used is a very simple Copic 101 coloring technique I learned a few years ago from Jen Shurkus on how to color with just 2-3 alcohol markers and how to blend and shade with just a couple markers. As it's easy to get overwhelmed with all the many markers out there, color families, and blending techniques. She really keeps it simple and I like simple too. Then I die cut a border around the image and ink blended around the edges to soften around the image, added a touch of clear sparkle to a few butterflies, and some embellishments to complete.ā Such a versatile set that's wonderful for so many occasions.
SUPPLIES: āUnity- Endlessly Beautiful Stamp Set and Unity-Rectangles & Scallops Nesting Dies; Big Shot die cutting machine; MISTI stamping tool; Versafine Clair-Nocturne black ink; Ranger Distress Oxide Inks: Faded Jeans; Picket Fence Blender Brush or Scrapbook.com brushes; Copic and Spectrum alcohol markers and SN Clear Sparkle Brush; Spectrum Noir Cardstock; American Crafts bakers twine; Adhesive Glitter Enamel Dots; Papertrey Ink white 110lb cardstock base; Scor-Pal - Scor-Tape (double sided tear tape) at Scrapbookpal.
ā
āCard #2: Pink Butterfly āThe second technique I used is mostly ink blending around the edges and over some of the butterflies. And I highlighted just one of the butterflies with a couple pink pencils using Prismacolor Pencils and blending it with a clear sparkle brush for some extra bling. Then added a couple stitched edges, a sentiment, and an adhesive glitter enamel embellishment to complete.
SUPPLIES: āUnity-Endlessly Beautiful Stamp Set, Unity-Whit's Words Stamp Set (Hello.), Unity-Simple Mothers Day Stamp (inside sentiment) and Unity-Rectangles & Scallops Nesting Dies; Big Shot die cutting machine; MISTI stamping tool; Versafine Clair-Nocturne black ink; Ranger Distress Oxide Inks: Fossilized Amber and Picked Raspberry; Picket Fence Blender Brush or Scrapbook.com brushes; Prismacolor Pencils; Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Brush; Spectrum Noir Cardstock; Adhesive Glitter Enamel Dots; Papertrey Ink white 110lb cardstock base; Floral scrap border from AC-Mayberry pad; Scor-Pal - Scor-Tape (double sided tear tape) at Scrapbookpal.
ā
āCard #3: Hello Pretty Butterflies And the third card I used an ink smooshing technique. It's one of my favorite ways to play with ink, as every smoosh is different, and every card is unique with no extra coloring. Then I heat set it to dry or you can leave it over night. And then I fussy cut this bunch of butterflies out. I dug in my bin of scraps and found this hot pink piece of cardstock that was screaming out for some texture. And I remembered I had a cloud embossing folder. Added the sentiment with distress oxide ink (because it's thick), clear embossing powder, and heat set. Which heat embossing is another technique I love to use. I found a couple more scrap strips and adhered those to the pink panel. Adhered the bunch of butterflies to the panel, added an adhesive glitter enamel embellishment and added some clear glitter sparkle to a few butterflies for some bling to complete.
SUPPLIES: āUnity-Endlessly Beautiful Stamp Set and Unity-Heart of Autumn Stamp Set (Hello); MISTI stamping tool; Versafine Clair-Nocturne black ink; Darice Cloud Embossing Folder; Ranger Distress Oxide Inks: Mermaid Lagoon, Cracked Pistachio, and Picked Raspberry; Ranger Clear Embossing Powder; Marvy Uchida Heat Tool; Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Brush; Ranger Tim Holtz Watercolor Cardstock; Adhesive Glitter Enamel Dots; Papertrey Ink hot pink background CS, light pink CS strip and white 110lb Card Stock base; Pink and white polka dot scrap strip from Doodlebug; Fiskars border punch (pink strip); Cutter Bee Scissors (best for fussy cutting); Scor-Pal - Scor-Tape (double sided tear tape) at Scrapbookpal.
Here are all the cards and techniques again.

No foolin'... it's a new month and I'm continuing with my
ā"New Years Resolution" to use only "new to me" Unity stamps every month this year, along with some of my favorite things. Like coloring, ribbon, cards & tags this month.āā āHere's what I came up with...ā ā
Project #1: Hair Bun, Laptop, & Butterflies
āI chose this Angiegirl because she resembles my daughter and I hadn't used her before. My daughter celebrated her birthday recently and she wears her hair in a bun like this often, has a laptop, wears comfy clothes, slippers, and loves butterflies. And I stamped a special butterfly envelope too! As some of you know, we lost my little sister to breast cancer 5 1/2 years ago and Native Americans considered butterflies a symbol of transformation, hope, and rebirth. And other cultures believe they are another spirit animal. So whenever we see a butterfly, we feel her near us, like a guardian angel. Enjoy all the butterfly inspiration!ā
Supplies used:
āUnity Products: Clara Girl Stamp Set; Butterflies are from the Eeyore stamp kit; Efflorescence (envelope Art) Stamp; and Rectangles & Scallops Nesting Dies Big Shot die cutting machine; MISTI stamping tool; Versafine Clair-Nocturne black ink; Distress Oxide Inks: Wilted Violet, Cracked Pistachio, and Fossilized Amber; Picket Fence Blender Brush; Copic and Spectrum alcohol markers and SN Clear Sprakle Brush; Spectrum Noir Cardstock; American Crafts Fine Detail Markers (pink/red); Papertrey Ink Cardstock: light blue, pink, purple, and white 110lb cardstock base; Scrappy Tape (double sided tear tape) at Scrapbookpal; and Assorted Colored Envelopes. ā
Project #2: Beautiful Butterfly Coffee Cup
āI love coffee and butterflies, so this stamp set is a perfect combo. I kept this card pretty simple. I stamped on a scrap piece of light blue cardstock (it's thinner, but as tall as an A2 card), colored the butterflies and ground with alcohol markers, added some sparkle to the butterflies, a couple of crinkled ribbons, and this beauty was done in no time. So pretty for Easter, Mothers Day, or any occasion.
āSupplies used:
āUnity Products: Flutters To Go stamp set MISTI stamping tool; Versafine Clair-Nocturne black ink; Copic and Spectrum alcohol markers and SN Clear Sparkle brush; Papertrey Ink Cardstock: lt. blue cardstock base; Scrappy Tape (double sided tear tape) at Scrapbookpal; and crinkle ribbon. ā
Project #3: Pure Magic Tag
āI don't know if moths are considered butterflies or not, and I usually don't like moths, but this one I can't deny it's beauty, so I chose to share it today. I used a kraft tag I got from the many gift bags we get when we order from Unity. And kept it simple by only coloring the flowers with a white colored pencil and a white marker. Then I added some sparkle to the moth, which darkened it a bit, added a light pink adhesive glitter enamel dot to the center flower, added a crinkle ribbon and some twine to finish this tag. So pretty for Easter, Mother's Day, a birthday, Graduation, or any occasion.
Supplies used:
Unity Products: Pure Magic stamp set; Sending a Happy Hello stamp set (sentiment); Unity kraft tag; and Unity twine MISTI stamping tool; Versafine Clair-Pinecone brown ink; Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle brush; Ranger Ink Distress Marker-Picket Fence (white); Prismacolor pencil-white; a light pink adhesive glitter enamel dot; and crinkle ribbon. ā
ā Project #4: Butterfly tag or bookmarker
āI save almost every scrap I think I can use on another project. I saw this scrap piece of stamped butterflies when I was going through my scraps and thought I can turn this into something. And it could be a gift tag, or a bookmarker, or could go on an A2 card too. It was originally stamped on watercolor pattern paper using Distress Oxide Ink-Wilted Violet, clear embossing powder, and heat set. Then I a few other scraps adhered to white cardstock, added purple adhesive rhinestones and enamel glitter dots. Added this gorgeous purple rose ribbon that completes this project with NO coloring, just bling. Great for many occasions too!
Supplies used:
āUnity Products: It's Been Too Long; Sending a Happy Hello stamp set (sentiment) MISTI stamping tool; Ranger Ink Distress Oxide Ink-Wilted Violet; Clear Embossing Powder; Marvy Uchida Heat Tool; Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle brush; Papertrey Ink white cardstock; MFT Watercolor pattern papers; purple adhesive rhinestones and glitter enamel dots; May Arts rose ribbon; Scrappy Tape (double sided tear tape) at Scrapbookpal. ā

Details here => {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge #31 Todays Card: Lets Get Cozy Reminds me of winter frozen in time. Maybe in a cabin surrounded by snow and silence. A cozy place where I can craft all day or read a good book. I actually won this amazing G45 collection recently and have been wanting to use it for awhile. I love how all the pieces coordinate and no stamping required. I did color the roman numerals on the clock with a blue alcohol marker, so they'd stand out more, but everything else was either trimmed or already die cut ephemera to put together. And added a few adhesive metallic pearls to complete this pretty easy card. Supplies: Graphic 45-Let's Get Cozy Collection Kit with silver adhesive gems; Copic or Spectrum Noir alcohol marker-blue; Paptertrey Ink 110lb white cardstock base (not shown); and ScrappyTape (double sided adhesive tear tape) from Scrapbookpal. Shop the affiliate links below for the supplies I used. I hope we've inspired you to try our monthly holiday card sketch challenges and share what you create. The possibilities are endless! 🎄 Every month you can join the fun, be inspired, & stock your stash!
