My first card is a fun slimline card that's about 8"x 5." I was inspired by coffee colors and the music I listen to while I craft and I really wanted to incorporate it into this card. I love the space a slimline card gives me, don't you?

BYSHC Sketch Challenge #8 + Poinsettia Card

Hi everybody! I hope this finds you safe and warm from the winter storms. I don't miss blizzards and 3-4 feet of snow, as Spring has sprung in the South and my daffodils are blooming in this 75* weather. But our thoughts and prayers are with those of you affected by these storms and hope it melts soon!

I'm back this month to share with you Sketch Challenge #8 for the
Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers
or {BYSHC} for short!

So don't put away those holiday stamps...use them ALL year long and get a jump start on your 2021 holiday cards!!!

We are a group of card makers that will be sharing Christmas,
Winter Holidays, or Winter-y cards every month, ALL year long!
It's super easy, with a new card Sketch Challenge each month
to help us build our stash of holiday cards, that you can
play along and enter to win prizes too!

Be creative and use this sketch like it is, or as an inspirational guide, turn it around, or upside down, like I did today, and make something wonderful!

I chose to use the sketch upside down, because I wanted to highlight this gorgeous poinsettia on the patterned paper. And because this beautiful paper is the star of our card, I really didn't stamp much, just the sentiment with gold metallic embossing powder, a die cut in green to highlight the poinsettia, colored the sentiment border in green marker, and added some gold embellishments to complete this card. Easy peasy to mass produce!

Our theme for March is a... Sketch!
That's right...we're all creating with the same sketch to show you several different possibilities. Because sometimes it gives you a good starting point, especially when you're stumped for a design. Fun right!?!

I was inspired by the beauty and colors of Spring! I don't know about you, but it's been too cold in the South and this girl is ready for some sunshine, blooming flowers, and warm days!
