Happy Birthday lil' Sister!
Yes, our Fall birthday's continue. I love Fall A LOT and usually make everybody cards with a Fall theme, but for my sister this year I wanted to do something different. One of her favorite colors is purple, so this is me, going all out for purple...see tutorial below...
Yes, our Fall birthday's continue. I love Fall A LOT and usually make everybody cards with a Fall theme, but for my sister this year I wanted to do something different. One of her favorite colors is purple, so this is me, going all out for purple...see tutorial below...
I didn't have a big enough balloon stamp and I didn't have any balloon die cuts. I know, shocking, right?
I probably did on a Cricut cartridge or my Silhouette, but you know, we don't always want to get our our "big" machines. So, I improvised and used an oval and circle punches to create the balloons, layered, and added a 3D pop dot to one of them.
I had a swirl stamp that I thought would look great as ribbon and colored it in with a purple glaze pen to give it a little sparkle. I love embossed cardstock, so I used it as the background, and this Bazzill "two scoop" purple cardstock is already embossed with swiss dots and I just distressed it a little with my sanding block.
Added purple and white bakers twine and layered circle punches to add the sentiment, 3D pop dots, but it still needed something. I had clear adhesive gems with me, but not purple, but fear not...I had sharpies! Yes, you can color your gems, pearls, rhinestones, and buttons with sharpies or any alcohol markers (copic or spectrum noir) would work. And voila...I had purple gems to add to each corner and added a party hat too!
