Happy Birthday, Mom! Yes, my parents are two days apart, just like my lil' sister and me. I know, I told you, Fall is crazy busy filled with birthdays. And as many of you know, I rarely get to make pink cards, as my daughter loves purple, and I have three sons and a hubby at home. So, when I came across this pattern paper I just knew I had to make another "quilt" card in pink and black and frilly for my mom. I just love pink and black together. Don't you? It's so classic and gorgeous for any occasion...

I am so excited and honored to be the guest designer this month for: The Paper Girls Challenge #88 Sept 21 - Sweater Weather Who’s ready for sweater weather? I love this time of year when the leaves are changing, the air is getting cooler, pumpkin is everywhere, and you start seeing the patterns of the season. And we have a lot of Fall birthdays in my family, so you will see a lot of birthday cards in the coming months. This week I was inspired by the plaid sweaters you see this time of year and created this card with my sister, Tami, with NO stamping. None! I know, right? We were stunned too! LOL We started with a red card base and a square punch (one inch or 1.5"). And punched out our squares from three different pattern papers from the same coordinating 6x6 pad: green, brown, and plaid. Then ran them through the Xyron sticker maker, cut the squares in half, and adhered them to another square. Layered the squares in a pinwheel quilt pattern to a larger red square and adhered to a larger brown square to create a frame or a double matte. Add some colored adhesive pearls for some shine, add buttons, bakers twine, and a tag sentiment. And you have a great masculine card or a neutral card for Fall, Christmas, or any occasion. Plaid isn't just for the holidays! Supplies: AC red blank cards; Authentique: Believe Collection 6x6 pad; Square Punch; Adhesive pearls; Doodlebug buttons; AC bakers twine; Pebbles banner sentiments; Glue dots; and a Xyron 1.5 sticker maker Now lets see what you can make with a little imagination for our next theme "sweater weather" and enter your creations. 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge-For a Man Little Red Wagon Challenge #307 - Try Something New Skip to my Lou - Made by you Monday Sun, surf, and sailing all remind me of summer. And I don't know about you, but I LOVE being on the water. For this "beach" themed challenge I combined sailing with the beach boardwalk. Doesn't it look like those planks on the dock? I used this adorable sailboat stamp and added some bling with glitter pens and adhesive gems, cut out with my wavy decorative scissors, and inked the edges. Inked a blue streak down the middle of this boardwalk pattern paper by "My Minds Eye-on the bright side" to mimic water. Then popped it up for some dimension. Added this adhesive burlap star and American Crafts natural twine. I usually leave my cards blank inside, but this was for my hubby, so I can show you. I found this free quote "here" that fit perfectly, printed it in color on white cardstock on my printer, cut it out with wavy decorative scissors, and matted on blue cardstock. Happy Anniversary! I entered this card in: 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge: 4 CC #256 {Sun, Sea and Sand!} Little Red Wagon Challenge: Challenge #298 - Beach Theme 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge: 4CC #255 - Clean and Simple or CAS Hey all...I'm published in this purple magazine pictured. "My Kraft Kloset" was chosen as "blog of the month" in Issue #139 June 2015 of Papercraft Inspirations Magazine. The #1 international craft magazine distributed out of England and sold in the USA at Barnes and Noble, JoAnns Fabrics, and some Michael stores. I'm global baby... I could eat taco's everyday! Couldn't you? YUM! Well, so can my brother. LOL...so I made him a birthday card with taco's using the colors of Mexico. I found this adorable clip art of dancing taco's online and printed them in color on white cardstock. They were already colored, but if they weren't, you could totally color them in with any kind of markers, colored pencils, crayons, etc...I could have made it fancier, with glitter pen on the text, or bling, but I wanted it more natural and masculine, as it was for my brother.
I layered the taco image on top of a Bo Bunny green double dot pattern paper, added yellow ric rac ribbon from Doodlebug, and added red brads from Creative Impressions. Easy Peasy! Hope you're having a crafty week! I'd love to see what your making. Feel free to post your craft projects here: P.S.> Don't forget about our "500 follower" Giveaway on Facebook...we're almost there, so keep sharing our page and tell all your friends and family about the great projects, deals, and recipes we offer every day.
