Happy Haunting Card

Fall is in the air and I'm seeing pumpkin stuff, apples, and sunflowers. I just love seeing all the sunflower fields in August, don't you?  Rows and rows of gorgeous vibrant color inspired me to share this precious card I made with NO stamping. Really! I used to be intimidated by busy pattern paper or those papers that have a complete scene on them. They're just too pretty to cut or cover up with pictures.  So, what do you do with them?  Well, hopefully this tutorial will help you...

The card base is DCWV metallic gold cardstock embossed with a Quickutz stripes and dots folder. And the rest of this adorable card is made with Graphic 45 Happy Haunting paper collection. The paper really speaks for itself and I didn't need to stamp anything. I cut this adorable witch out from a sheet of pattern paper that had several scenes to choose from and the flip side had the blue and yellow star print. Punched a strip of pumpkins with a border punch and adhered to the bottom of the card.  I made a sunflower rosette by hand with a score board, but you could use a die cut. Sizzix has some great ones. Add a button, a brad in the hat,  and some G45 alphabet stickers for a sentiment.

Tip: I adhere most of my embellishments with glue dots, so they stay put and get through the mail. And it wouldn't be a card by me if it didn't sparkle, so I added a few drops of diamond stickles glitter glue randomly in the stars. Lets see what you can make with no stamping and really showcase those pattern papers and make them shine.
