I chose the linen paper flowers because they had a neat crinkly texture. I put a couple dabs of each gelato color down, mixed in some water, and painted each flower a different color. And painted the linen paper circles for the inside pieces in yellow. Set aside to dry.
Adhere 6x6 purple violets pattern paper onto a card base. And adhere doily to panel.
While the gelatos were still wet, paint pink, blue, and purple swirls on a piece of olive green cardstock. Leaving some green to show. Set aside to dry. Once dry, place it in an Easter egg embossing folder to add texture and punch out a 3” scallop circle.
Stamp sentiment onto kraft tag, sprinkle embossing powder, and heat set. Color the letters in with the pink PITT pen. Adhere tag to the back of scallop circle. Then adhere whole piece to the center of doily.
Stamp bunny on a piece of watercolor paper. Mix purple and blue gelatos together, add water, and stir until it turns gray. Paint the bunny, color the bunny toes, punch out, adhere to center of scallop circle with pop dots. Cut and adhere one rosette from ribbon for bunny tail.
Once the linen flowers are dry, roll yellow pieces, and adhere to the center of each flower. Cinch each flower, bend, roll, and crunch until you get the shape you want. Adhere to card as shown. Add glitter ribbon for just a touch of sparkle to finish the card. Viola!
For something I’ve never used before. I really like how this card turned out. The metallic gelatos really shimmer beautifully. Now it’s your turn to play with products in your craft room that you’ve never used before and show me on my Facebook page what you created. I’d love to see it! ~Kim
