Polka Dot Orchard + Easter Egg Wreath Card

Hi everybody! My heart and prayers go out to you all during this unprecedented time. I hope you have lots of things to keep you and your family busy while we shelter in place to keep others and ourselves safe! What are you doing to keep busy?

Now for a little distraction today....an Easter Egg Wreath Tutorial!
Easter is next Sunday, April 12th ya'll...but don't fret! You still have time to make Easter cards and get them mailed with these easy peasy digital stamps in the ==> Polka Dot Orchard Shop!!! So many to choose from and they are ON SALE too!!!

Tutorial: I use a WPS Free Office document program to copy and paste Polka Dot Orchard digital images into, to layer, move images around, and resize them. For today's project I cropped and erased the bunny chick off the eggs, and then copied and pasted that image six times. And arranged the eggs in a circle or wreath. I copied, pasted, and centered a sentiment inside the wreath. Once I had the images where I wanted them, I grouped them as one piece, saved, and renamed as a “new” document in the same file as my original stamp set, to use again for future use. ​I printed my image on my HP printer using the "thin" brand of white cardstock from HL.

I was inspired by those bright colored Easter egg dye kits we all used as a kid or still may use. And colored the image with these Spectrum Noir alcohol marker colors shown above. I used IB2 around the petals of the daisies to highlight them.  Using a Picket Fence blending brush I added a touch of Distress Oxide ink to the inside of the wreath, to highlight the sentiment. 

I fussy cut the wreath out with scissors. Adhered a piece of green satin ribbon behind the wreath and adhered wreath to a 6x6” piece of Unity Stamps wood grain patterned paper. Which I thought resembled a door. Then adhered the whole piece to an 8.5x11” 100lb piece of Brutus Monroe Lunchbag kraft cardstock, folded in half, and trimmed down to 6x6,” not shown. Which will take extra postage, because it's square (sorry). And added a touch of clear sparkle pen to the teeny tiny little ladybugs that are on a few of the eggs to finish this wonderful card. I kept this card fairly simple and flat for mailing, but colorful for Easter!
