See CardMaker Blog for pictorial on how to do ribbon inking. And once dry, wrap ribbon around scrap strip of paper, and adhere to the back. Then adhere whole piece to doily.
To re-create this gorgeous stamped butterfly image and unique watercolor background, you can get all the materials and a step by step tutorial in the 2015 Spring Issue of CardMaker Magazine. When you subscribe to this magazine you get access to 2 years of digital back issues including this Spring issue.
When I create watercolor backgrounds I usually make a few of them in different colors and save for a rainy day. And this time I stamped a few butterflies too and kept them on hand for future projects. Like today. Then I die cut this butterfly image from a scallop circle framelit and cut the next larger scallop circle framelit from cardstock, attached together, and adhered to doily. Add flowers and leaf embellishments with glue dots and dotted some stickles glitter glue for some sparkle. And you have a gorgeous card for Mother's Day, Birthday, Anniversary, Wedding, and more.
