First I stamped the chicks image on water color paper using versamark clear ink, white embossing powder, and heat set. So, when I colored the image, my ink wouldn't smear. And I like how the white outline gives a softer look.
Next I used a mix of gelatos and water color crayons to "paint" the chicks and create the grass and sky with a water brush.
Cut out the chicks using a stitched oval frame die cut and a black border cut with my Big Shot Machine. The chicken wire embossing folder matches perfectly in the background, with a touch of country using a wagon wheel border punch.
Layered a red gingham ribbon over a black gingham ribbon to make it pop. Added a couple buttons and a sentiment tag to finish it up. And there you have a simple card for somebody special for many different occasions.
