My craft club decided to help a fellow craft friend out and make cards for our US soldiers stationed in Hawaii. I am proud to say we made over 300 cards for our US soldiers and their families to say "thank you" for your service and sacrifices...see more below...
This card looks complicated, but it's actually rather simple, and I made a bunch of them in just one night. Mostly from scraps. First I embossed a bunch of blank white cards and inked the embossed raised images. I used my scraps to create a strip across the center of the card and adhered it to the card base. I layered two paper flowers on top of each other and adhered with glue dots.
Stamped the sentiment on white cardstock, went over the image with a glitter pen to give it some sparkle, and punched it out with a circle punch. Punch out a second circle, just a bit larger, from brown cardstock, and adhered the two together. Adhere circles to flower with a 3D pop dot.
Don't have the right color gem, rhinestone, or pearl for your project? Don't panic! Use any alcohol marker and create your own. I used a yellow sharpie on a faux pearl, but any Copic, Spectrum Noir, or Blendabilities markers will work too. Add pearl to sentiment. And there you have a great card for any occasion, just change the colors, or change your sentiment.
