Would you believe this handmade gift card holder album is made from toilet rolls? Well...it is! As you see, I made five holders attached with a D ring and tied on some coordinating ribbon. I can't take credit for this idea, so I want to thank my friend Cynthia for first introducing me to this project. I love it and use it all the time throughout the year. Save or gather up your toilet rolls and flatten them. Click on each photo above for more detailed instructions.
Choosing the paper is the fun part. Decisions...decisions! I chose a Doodlebug holiday collection kit, because it all coordinated and it had stickers included too. I like kits because everything coordinates and you usually get paper, stickers, alphas, ribbon, and sometimes stamps. Next cut and adhere the printed papers to the toilet rolls.
TIP: I've tried glue dots and several brands of dry adhesive runners and they will all eventually come apart. The Tombow liquid glue is the BEST for this project and it will hold together!
Add eyelets to the bottom of the holders. And now it's time to decorate our gift card holders with coordinating stickers. I created a rosette on the first gift card holder. Click the fourth picture above for detailed directions on how to make a rosette a couple different ways.
TIP: If your stickers aren't sticky, run them through a Xyron sticker maker machine for more stickiness. And you can run the ribbon through too.
For the inside tags I used the Santa, snowman, and gingerbread man stickers and presents for the other two. They weren't very sticky, so I ran them through my Xyron sticker maker to make them stick good. I wanted them tucked inside, like a surprise. The office tag had a reinforced hole, but I added an eyelet for more decoration and added the red/green polka dot ribbon. Here is where you can attach a gift card to the back of the tag(s) with a tiny glue dot or just omit the inside tags altogether and just insert your gift card. Add white pom pom ribbon to the outside of two of the gift card holders, because five was too much. And lastly, loop a D ring through each bottom eyelet and tie on some ribbon to create a gift card album.

Now you have a gift card holder album or a bunch of individual gift card holders for stocking stuffers or gifts. There are so many things you can do with this adorable project. You could add pictures and a couple restaurant or movie gift cards for grandparents, teachers, neighbors, friends, kids, and relatives. The ideas are endless. I hope you try it out.
