Love is in the air...but first I needed to make a February Birthday card for somebody special. And having three sons and one daughter, I rarely get
to make anything girly. So, when I do, I go all out. I wanted it pink and pretty. And I LOVE to mix and match pattern papers.

Not that you can tell, but I started with a kraft cardstock base, but you could easily use pink, red, white, or black too. I adhered this pink frilly pattern paper down first and broke up the busy pattern with a strip of red polka dot paper that I border punched with one of my favorite punches. It's very versatile.
Then I trimmed out banner flags from this very cool chalk board pattern paper, added some sticker hearts, adhered to card, and glued down some bakers twine. I think I may add a bow too. What do you think?
I stamped the butterfly on a piece of pink cardstock , cut it out, and set aside. Cut a scrap piece of the black chalk board paper, adhere behind pink cardstock, and adhered the whole piece to the card. Added adhesive pink rhinestones to finish it up. Makes a great card for birthdays, anniversary, or Valentines Day! ~Kim
