Our theme for February is... a Sketch!
Fun, right? I'm excited, as I've been making cards all week for my GIU-Growing in Unity week and was kind of out of ideas.
BAM! A new sketch is the perfect inspiration and this is an easy one.

Let's Get Started...

Card #1: Kiss the world with kindness
I used "new to me" Unity stamps, the new Unity Scallop & Rectangle (nesting dies), a little heat embossing, and this gorgeous Unity paper pack from fall.

And on all my projects today I am using all Unity stamps I've never used before... that's one of my goals this year, is to use "new to me" or never used stamps! What are your crafting goals this year?

Supplies: Unity Scallops & Rectangles (nesting dies), Kiss the World stamp set, Autumn Dream (paper pack). Big Shot die cutting machine. MISTI Stamping Tool. Ranger Ink Distress Oxide Inks: Picked Raspberry (lips) and Seedless Preserves and clear embossing powder. Marvy Uchida Heat Embossing Tool. Papertrey black and purple cardstock. And repurposed ribbon (I tend to collect them). Scor-Pal - Scor-Tape 1/2" (tear tape adhesive at Scrapbookpal).

Card #2: Just a Note
I used a "new to me" Unity sentiment stamp, the new Scallop & Rectangle (nesting dies), heat embossing on kraft with this amazing background stamp, and repurposed this Unity pattern paper from Christmas.

Supplies: Unity Scallops & Rectangles (nesting dies), Brutus Monroe Lace Background stamp, Gotta Love Sentiments, Rustic Winter Wishes (holiday paper pack). Big Shot die cutting machine. MISTI Stamping Tool. Versamark clear ink. Ranger Ink Distress Oxide Ink-Pine Needles and Seafoam white embossing powder. Marvy Uchida Heat Embossing Tool. Brutus Monroe Lunghbag (kraft) cardstock. Bobunny Double Dot pattern paper. Adhesive glitter enamel dots and AC red satin ribbon. Scor-Pal - Scor-Tape 1/2" (tear tape adhesive at Scrapbookpal).

Card #3: Love
I used a "new to me" Unity paper pack and scraps, the new Unity Scallop & Rectangle (nesting dies), a little heat embossing, and a touch of bling!

Supplies: Unity Scallops & Rectangles (nesting dies), Love In The Background stamp, Romantic Expressions (paper pack). Big Shot die cutting machine. MISTI Stamping Tool. Versamark clear ink. Ranger Ink Distress Oxide Inks: Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, Candied Apple and Clear embossing powder. Marvy Uchida Heat Embossing Tool. Papertrey white (cardbase not shown) and black cardstock. My Favorite Things-Watercolor pattern paper. Adhesive red/white heart rhinestones and AC red twine. Scor-Pal - Scor-Tape 1/2" (tear tape adhesive at Scrapbookpal).

The lips image is so much fun. I love the beautiful shade of the muted purple pink color. It is so pretty. I love the repurposed idea for your second card. The scallop dies are so useful too for all cards. The lace stamped image is awesome. I really love the last card for Valentine's day. It is just a great combination of color and pattern!

Wonderful cards, Kim! Love your first card... that sentiment is perfect with those lips! I love that a few of us used the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}... love these dies! Your last card is awesome, too! Great idea to use the sentiment from the paper!

Such pretty cards, but I have to admit I have a favorite this time - the Kiss card is gorgeous in shades of purple (the colour of healing). The world sure needs more kindness these days! Love your craft goal - I'll make that my goal too, but I can't seem to quit adding to my Unity stash too!

Great cards, Kim. We have the same crafty goal to use those items we have that haven't seen any love yet. I have about 15 stamp sets I've come across without even trying ... wish me luck! haha

Valentine's day seems to always have a certain feel about the cards and these scream Vday with lace and ribbons and perfect colors. So lovely! I've never really understood how to follow a sketch diagram so I have not made one, but am amazed at the pretty creativity that springs from a circle on a square with a bar through it. Then I see what the diagram was hinting at. Really looks like fun though.

Fun cards. The last card sparked interest because I used the same colors and background to make an ATC but ended up not using it. I have that paper pack and have struggled with how to use it.

I love using sketches....they seem so simple, yet they can just be the aha! I need to get going on a card or a scrapbook page! Your cards are beautiful!

I don't use sketches very often because I keep getting stuck, but this one looks simple enough to work for anything. Love that Kindness sentiment combined with the lipstick kisses so much.
