The SIG Designers will comment on your blog submissions and then vote for our favorite. The winner will be announced the first week of the following month.
June Challenge: Brads, Buttons, and Bling (click here for more details) This month’s theme is anything that includes all three: brads, bling, and buttons. Now time to get to work... May is also the month for many graduations: elementary, continuation, high school, college, etc... When I saw this stamp from Eat Cake Graphics of Hank (the dog) riding on his Hoover vacuum, I knew I wanted a banner behind him announcing the occasion...
Sophie Willoughby has a card for her Mom for Mother’s Day. When I saw this adorable stamp from Eat Cake Graphics Stamps it had a letter addressed to Santa. Which would be cute for Christmas or a Birthday card too! But I wanted to mask it and make it a card for Mother’s Day...
Spring in the Rockies usually means Mother Nature isn't done snowing on us...which she isn't. We got a couple more inches of snow last week and a few flakes this week, but it didn't stay long, because the ground is warm and the sun came out. So, I thought this card was appropriate for a Colorado Spring, as my three sons are always up for a snowball fight.
This adorable card is a 6" x 6" square, so extra postage will be needed for mailing, but it's also my first shaker card. I knew when I saw this adorable snowball stamp from Unity Stamps I wanted to make it feminine. And the Eat Cake Graphics sentiment stamp went with it perfectly... I am happy to share with you all that I have been chosen as one of six designers for "Eat Cake Graphics." A super fun, whimsical rubber stamp and quilt pattern business out of California. Please read all about it and Holly's wonderful company. And be sure to check out the blogs below of these wonderfully talented ladies that I will have the pleasure of creating along side of too. I'm so excited to get started.
The Eat Cake Graphics new 2015 design team: AND...more happy news today... I have been chosen to be published in PaperCraft inspirations magazine, a global/international magazine, as their "blog of the month" feature in their April issue!!! They love this blog/website "My Kraft Kloset" as much as you all do! I am beyond words. This was just a crafty place I created a year ago to share my recipes, deals, and crafty adventures with you all! I don't know where this all is going...but I'm overjoyed...and gotta get crafting some more projects. Thanks for all your kind words and support!!! ~Kim A modern Christmas card with a tale to tell...once upon a time, I had a stamp I wanted to use. It was of the Eiffel tower wrapped in holly. When I think of the Eiffel tower, I think of pink and black and a card was born. I have never created a modern card before and certainly not a pink Christmas card, as I knew my husband would be thrilled. NOT! LOL...but once it was finished, he did like it.
I knew I wanted pink and black. I started back in August gathering up products I had, or found around town, and putting them in a tote bag. Every time I had an idea or a product I wanted to use, it went in the tote bag. I do this every year. So, when I'm ready to create I have all my ideas and products in one tote bag. Makes life a little easier...See tutorial below... My mother-in-law's birthday is on Oct 31st and she loves all things Halloween. This year's card I wanted to incorporate a patch work type pumpkin I've been seeing all over social media. When you use pattern papers together in similar color families, or theme, they coordinate nicely. As I did with orange and black...
